Cat excessively grooming belly..?27 Nov 2008 20:57 GMT4
My 14yr old Missy has recently been losing fur from her belly, she's had
cystitis in the past and I wondered if it was due to that that she had
been over-grooming her belly. The vet is undecided if it's that or a
possible skin condition (there is one small scab there but nothing ...
Tortoise Shell Kitty looking for good home (Pasadena, CA)23 Nov 2008 05:31 GMT1
I have a 10 yr old indoor tortoise shell kitty that I really must
place somewhere, and I'm trying to find the best home for her.  She
still has her claws so could be indoor/outdoor.
Thanks!
Kittens need home :-(23 Nov 2008 05:26 GMT1
My name is Brandon and my girlfriend and I have a little problem.
We've been trying desperately to spay and neuter all of our cats. We
have quite a few, and unfortunately, our last cat (Hunter) sneaked out
and got pregnant. Now we truly have more cats than we can afford to

Kitten not fully recovering19 Nov 2008 16:52 GMT7
After receiving her first immunizations, my female DSH kitten became ill.
She was sluggish and had no appetite.
When she didn't get better after 3 days, I took to the vet'.  He found she
had a fever of 104+ but no other symptoms.  He gave her a course of

Some of you might have been through this process before and might be
able to save me a learning curve.
Our two cats are very affectionate and although we leave them a warm
living-room to sleep in at night, they nearly always follow us upstairs

carrier with slide out bottom13 Nov 2008 07:01 GMT6
Has anyone ever seen a cat carrier with a bottom that slides out? This would
make it easier to get a reluctant cat out of it"s carrier. I can envision
such a carrier, but I can't seem to find anyone who makes it.

We have the two calicos, Gracie and Jenny, sisters from the same
litter, two and a half years old.
We did, rather.  Today, Jenny passed away.  I found her lying there,
did artificial respiration, rushed her to a vet who pronounced her

I have a 2 yr and 3 months old siamese cat. It was recently on an accident,
we don't know exactly what happened.
We took him to the emergency vet a few hours ago, and the vet has told us
that he has a broken jaw and that part of his jaw has damaged the roof of

Places to keep fur08 Nov 2008 06:03 GMT3
My 14 year-old female cat recently succumbed to CRF.  I cut off a few
bits of her fur to keep (I am also getting a separate cremation).  Right
now, the fur is in a sandwich bag.  What are some good long term places
to keep it where it will be okay?  I thought of a photo album, ...

When people ask me the name of my cat...they usually ask me to repeat the

and in most instances they need me to spell it out in order to get it right.
Buying Metacam online in UK07 Nov 2008 11:57 GMT1
I've just started doing this for my cat, but my vets have now imposed a
repeat prescription charge on a "x1" basis. Before that, previous ordering
was by phone to the surgery and collection of Metacam every month. They only
saw the cat at it's annual inspection for the booster jab ...
