Pine Mulch danger for cats31 Oct 2007 03:51 GMT1
I just built a cat enclosure for my two cats and I want to put pine
mulch down as the flooring.  Will the pine bark mulch harm them in any
way?  If it is dangerous, what else would be better for them?   (I
don't want to have to keep up with grass inside the enclosure.)
Rank these canned foods!30 Oct 2007 22:04 GMT39
I am close to a Petsmart and a Whole Foods, can get to a Petco and
Trader Joes. I can brood over prices and look for sales, and my cat can
decide the taste, but could you, the more experienced people here,
please rank the following canned food brands according to nutrition:
travelling with cat29 Oct 2007 21:25 GMT1
I should explain that I have taken my cat on trips in a carrier of course.
She cries the whole way, that is why I was looking for an alternate plan
where I could perhaps hold her and she would be safely belted in with the
lap belt.
Traveling by car with cat29 Oct 2007 13:12 GMT4
I have read many sites that suggest a cat carrier.  Has anyone tried putting
the cat in a soft, thin pillowcase and held it on your lap?
A question about mixing different foods29 Oct 2007 06:39 GMT12
I would like my cat not to get hooked on just one brand/flavor, but eat
a few.
Which of the following is the best way to mix two flavors A and B in
her diet? She eats twice a day:
What Is Your Cat Evacuation Plan?28 Oct 2007 07:34 GMT4
I have been thinking about this for a few months. The California wild
fires makes this more obvious that maybe cat owners/parents need to have
a timed evacuation plan to save their lives and the lives of your families.
Here is mine:

Would You Consider Helping Poohbear and Max--Two Tabby Cats??27 Oct 2007 12:01 GMT4
I am in need of help for 2 of my cats: Poohbear and Max.
I have a 3rd cat, Tigger, who was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure
in May of this year.
A week ago, I noticed that Max was wheezing, and coughing, so I called
Is there such a thing as "cat whistle"?27 Oct 2007 07:55 GMT22
I have been asking a lot of questions, but please bear with me!
My latest is: Is there such a thing as "cat whistle", something cats
can hear and humans can't. (Similar to what's available for dogs.)
Sometimes we have to go looking for our cat, who may be hiding who
How can I make this cat like me? :)27 Oct 2007 06:46 GMT46
I have informally referred to "my cat" in a few post, but she belongs
to friends who are out of the country for several months and have asked
us to care for her.  If they had lived in another city or even part of
town I would have officially brought her to my home. But they live two

Wooden mulch, bird baths, cats26 Oct 2007 02:08 GMT24
To make a long story short, I am worrying about whether wood mulch
(Cedar Nuggets from Home Depot to be precise) is safe for cats to run
on or jump onto? Or small metal bird baths placed on that mulch?
Nothing bad has happened to our knowledge. But a neighbor's cat

Catnip Recommendation24 Oct 2007 03:09 GMT2
Isis is quite partial to catnip. For a few years I've been giving her a
monthly dose of Calamity Catnip that a friend gave me in a 2 ounce jar.
Well, I was running low so I searched out a vendor on the Internet and found
this:
