Oscar the hospice cat31 Jul 2007 21:14 GMT54

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Oscar the cat seems to have an uncanny knack for
predicting when nursing home patients are going to die, by curling up
next to them during their final hours.

Grieving Cat30 Jul 2007 13:14 GMT1
Until a week ago I had two (ex) male Siamese cats, 15 years old.  They were born a day apart in the same cattery and have been
together for their entire lives.  They did everything together,  I have never seen a pair of cats so close.
Unfortunately, one had to be euthanized the ...
Times are Changing with Isis and Me29 Jul 2007 21:17 GMT3
I got Isis, my long-haired tabby, in about 2000 at the shelter. She was
about 3 so she is about 10 now. Over the years some things have changed.
Just recently, for instance, she has a new approach to demanding food. Since
dry food seems to be out of vogue with Her Majesty these ...
My cat meows all the time29 Jul 2007 21:04 GMT3
The suspect is a 1 year old male tabby who has been fixed and declawed
(front only).  We've noticed that he is always meowing.  When ever he's
not sleeping or eating or playing, he meows.  Is he just looking for
attention or could there be something else wrong.  I read recently that

What Has Happened To This NG???????29 Jul 2007 00:09 GMT9
alt.cats used to be a fun place to visit.  In the last few years there
are hardly any posters to the group, and way too many trolls.  It
would be nice if us real cat lovers could get the group back on track.
Hey Phil, you still out there?

New Cat27 Jul 2007 21:22 GMT15
We just got a new cat...a 5 month old (or so) female that was abandoned.
Though still a bit shy...she seems happy and healthy but a bit shy.
Anyway ...we showed her the litter box in the basement and she has been
using it just fine for urination...
Does yor pet have deadly disease? Try This27 Jul 2007 19:03 GMT1
This is just an FYI as opposed to just letting them do the humane thing of
putting them down. They call it humane but Kivorkian went to prison for
being humane. So maybe humane and human have nothing to do with each other.

Hi folks,
Just dropping by. I've checked for a FAQ, but haven't seen anything.
My Q. I've got a wild kit in the street who recently has had four
kittens. If I catch the kittens and give them to people as pets, would
