Long hair tabby has mats17 Apr 2007 00:47 GMT4
I have a long hair tabby with mats all over his fur. I try to brush them
out, cut them out with no progress. Is there a shampoo that will help with
these mats. It looks like he may have dandruff. Has anyone come accross this
before?
Training kitten to open cat door17 Apr 2007 00:17 GMT6
Every cat I've ever lived with has had a smooth transition from indoor
kittenhood to outdoor maturity - eg become in/out cats. They live with
us inside but go outside for the toilet.

Cats in general are very shy toileters and will often only pee or poop
in their litter box if it is placed in a quiet, secluded area, away
from family members and other animals. The importance of your cat
toileting regularly cannot be over-emphasized. Too often owners do not

Weird Indoor Kitty16 Apr 2007 08:10 GMT8
Our 10 year old very small 'tuxedo' kitty has taken to sneaking up on
us while we're not looking and running out the front door. She then
runs around the side of the house, through the cyclone fence type
gate, up the sun deck stairs and (if it's open) right back in through

i Have 2 house cats both female, both neutered, 1 is 5 other is 12, they
usually get along ok, never seen cuddling in or grooming but they tolerate
each other.  Last night a stray cat entered our house and the 5 year old
after a lengthy chase round the house got rid of it.  The older ...

We have a typical dusty litter, fresh step i think i forget, and we

My husband went for cat food tonight and petsmart had cleared the shelves of
all of the NutroMax canned food (which is what we feed our girls).  I
checked menufoods.com and it has expanded to more of theirs and some others,

Avoiding Gluten 14 Apr 2007 02:57 GMT3
I have found a food that both I and my cat are happy with that I'm 99% sure
does not contain gluten. I say 99% because I know that there may be another
name for gluten I am unaware of. My questions are: does anyone know of
another name or names for gluten  AND is there one central ...
Macavity the bus riding cat14 Apr 2007 02:40 GMT14
Apparently Macavity the cat (real name unknown),
likes to travel down the block to where a local
fish and chips shop is located a few times per week.
Only Macavity doesn't walk there, he figured out how
weird thing about cats and water13 Apr 2007 12:16 GMT4
My cats love to drink the saline solution that my daily wear contacts come
in. They have punctured the foil and wait around to drink the water when I'm
putting the lenses in.
Do you think that cats are hungary for the salt? Do you think it would be

hand feeding kittens12 Apr 2007 01:10 GMT4
So, recently a friend was looking after a 5wo kitten that the mum cat
had kicked off the boob. Not having any kitten milk or even full fat
cows milk she gave the kitten mixed up baby formula. Since the kitten
died, the owner of the mum cat has said that the baby formula is what
