I Ran Out of Dry Food26 Mar 2007 19:46 GMT10
I've been so busy lately that I just didn't do my job. I ran out of dry food
for Isis. The bag was empty. Emmpty.
I immediately called my vet for a refill. They were out, too! Meanwhile,
Isis was waiting. For two days she did not get her dry food fix. It started
2 questions on the Menu Situation26 Mar 2007 18:17 GMT5
1. Does anyone have a complete list off all brands that use Menu Foods
(Not just the recall list). I've unsuccessfully spent hours trying to
come up with this.
2. Does anyone know if Menu manufactures dry food? The only place i've
The white cat deaf gene?26 Mar 2007 01:20 GMT1
I have a white kitten (apparently about 10% of the cat population),
about 8 months old.  People have mentioned to me that a lot of white
cats have the 'deaf' gene.
What is that and why does it occur to white cats in particular?
Cat food25 Mar 2007 22:35 GMT15
In regards to the cat food recall does it include any dry food?
Most reports i've seen indicate moist food accross 40 cat food mfg.
and 49 dog food mfg. but our local tv station said it now includes dry
food.
Products from China25 Mar 2007 21:21 GMT2
Well, folks, I have had had a couple of acquaintances from China that I
really valued, respected, and enjoyed their company.  I adore Chinese
cuisine.  I used to prepare it myself, until my husband learned to do a
better job of it that I did.  But I'm here to tell you that I ...

Sick Cat - Please Help25 Mar 2007 19:47 GMT5
I have a one-year-old half-siamese female cat, and she's been acting
very odd lately.
It seems that her rear end (not sure exactly what though) is
sensitive, so she sits in a way not to apply pressure there. Basically

Royal Canin Lawsuit?25 Mar 2007 17:49 GMT3
I just read that a class action against Royal Canin was launched
in Toronto. Apparently they were shipping foods to high in Vit D.
I have been unable to find a list of foods affected, does anyone
here know more about it?
Contaminated wheat gluten in pet/human foods25 Mar 2007 08:26 GMT2
We need to take action and get to the bottom of this pet food recall,
and more specifically we need to get someone to confess to what has
happened here and what is still going on.  It should not take anyone
this long to perform all the necessary lab tests to find out what is
RAT POISON!  "Foreign" Chemical Found In Tainted Pet Food!25 Mar 2007 06:16 GMT6
Menu Foods, two of whose U.S. plants made the  pet food that's killed
16 animals and sickened many, many others, just concluded a press
confererence in which officials said their researchers have found
traces of a FOREIGN-manufactured rat poison compound in the products.
Rat poison found in the recalled pet food.24 Mar 2007 19:10 GMT6
Check out the news, everyone.  The culprit has finally been identified.
Wheat from China with rat poison in it.  Tragic.  At least we know now.

Missing Cat24 Mar 2007 18:28 GMT3
My wife and I have a 5 year old tabby cat named Lizzy(she's fixed).
Before my wife and I got married she was strictly an oudoor cat but
since we've been married she's been an indoor/outodoor cat; we let her
out during the day and then we let her come back in at night to eat

Apartment hunting - what would cat like best24 Mar 2007 17:55 GMT1
I live in a basement suite alone with a timid 1.5 yr old female indoor cat.
She currently has a view out of 3 sides of the house. When a neighbor's cat
visits a window she will paw furiously at it until it leaves (as opposed to
wailing like my last cat did).
