I wish it wasn't so expensive to care for pets!10 Dec 2006 04:03 GMT16
I have a cat that has this crazy desire to claw at anything and
everything (mostly my furniture and walls) and I want to have her
declawed but it's so darn expensive! I wish there was a home kit that
allowed you to do this yourself and save the costs! I mean if it was
Cats destroy a Christmas tree09 Dec 2006 18:11 GMT2
Last year or the year before someone posted the story of the two cats
destroying a Christmas tree complete with before, during and after photos.
Does anyone have the URL of the page?  Thanks!
Many questions about my cat... and a suggestion to would-be cat owners09 Dec 2006 01:47 GMT2
I have a barely 4 months tabby female and she now weighs in at 5 pounds, 14
ounces. She's not fat as she's already about as long as my former cat at adult
age: about seventeen inches long without stretching the nose.
Is there any place where I can compare her weight with cats of ...
Advice on Adopting 2nd Cat08 Dec 2006 19:28 GMT2
My neighbor has some (nearly full-grown) male kittens he wants to get rid
of, and I was considering adopting one. Problem is, I already have a male
cat and I suspect he's probably the father of those kittens. Someone told me
that male cats usually don't get along with their ...
See you later, Pooka!07 Dec 2006 07:58 GMT6
In 1994, I adopted a 4-month old brown tabby kitten.  I named
him Pooka, taken from "Puccha" - the Sanskrit word for cat, so
says my Purina cat book.  I fell in love with Pooka the moment
I first saw him, and he seemed to feel the same about me.  We

Where to get pets microchip'ed with international chips?05 Dec 2006 17:05 GMT17
A friend is moving to europe, and for entry is required to have
the pets implanted with an RFID microchip.  However, it seems there
are incompatibilites between the chips in the US vs. europe.
Where in the US (Chicago) would one get this done, or procure the required
Kitten/ Catnip05 Dec 2006 16:19 GMT2
I was not aware that catnip was a sort of "illicit drug" for cats. I'll
hide the little catnip toys until a bit later in Princess Woodgie's
life. Thanks.
Fountain deterrant--Any suggestions?05 Dec 2006 15:49 GMT18
Help!  We have a couple of fountains that we want to put back out in our
home but can't figure out a way to keep the cat from drinking out of them.
A few months ago we discovered that "Buffy" was getting sick from drinking
the water out of one of the fountains.  She vomited ...

Objective opinions needed . . . cats as pets03 Dec 2006 22:31 GMT4
We're considering getting a cat as a family pet but want to make sure
we're doing the right thing.  I'm not even sure where to start but I
thought I'd see if I could get any opinions here:
- How do they do with kids?  We have two, ages 5 and 2.
