Lost cat, possibly injured, what would he do?25 Oct 2006 05:54 GMT14
I'm Jason, in Melbourne Australia, and my sweet little boy Odin has gone
missing.  It's only been 24 hours or so since we last saw him, but this is
unusual behaviour...especially missing dinner tonight.  He's 18 months old,
and he is quite an explorer, so in normal circumstances I ...
Renal Failure in Cats24 Oct 2006 20:40 GMT2
Hi, I have a 16 y/o cat that is starting to get kidney insufficiency
and I was wondering if you knew of a supplement I might be able to give
her to help prolong her beautiful life.  She got weighed yesterday and
she's at 6.25 lbs.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

house.
She's very sweet, and we want to make sure she is well.
Recently, when stroking her, i've noticed lots of little scabs on her

New Kitten22 Oct 2006 17:48 GMT1
Hey all.
Well, as I said in my Xena memorial post, I got a new kitten when it
seemed like Xena wasn't coming back (and if she does by some miracle,
then hey, extra kitty!).  I remember when I got Lenny that I fed him one

Don't really know why I'm posting here, guess I'm looking for a bit of
understanding from people who realise how much a cat can mean to a person.
Our 17yo cat was put to sleep this morning. He was diagnosed with
squamous cell carcinoma around Easter time, the original lump on his
Another feral cat update.22 Oct 2006 08:52 GMT2
Unfortunately Kali really didn't adjust well to us. Instead of becoming
tame she started becoming more skittish and feral. This Sunday, after
two weeks we decided the best thing to do would be to take her back to
the animal shelter where they have a cat garden for cats that don't ...
Roaming cats21 Oct 2006 22:48 GMT2
Hi, I'm thinking about getting a cat but my neighbours wouldn't want it
to roam onto their property all the time. Are there any particular cats
that don't have a tendancy to roam or can they be taught to stay near
home? Thanks
cat not eating - please help solve the mystery!21 Oct 2006 20:57 GMT5
Every once and awhile, one of my cats (who's usually around 13-14
pounds) goes on a hunger strike. In the past it's been because of me
having gone away for awhile. Well this past Monday I got a whiff of
Ferris' breath and decided to brush his teeth. Later in the week I

I need to ventilate my brain.21 Oct 2006 03:38 GMT5
I work at home. I use a cordless phone with a headset.
Sometimes I get client calls and I walk and talk and walk and talk. This
makes Isis go crazy. She stalks me. Her food bowl is full but she stalks me.
She meows to get into Forbidden Rooms. She runs. She jumps. She swats me and ...
. Cat Nip..20 Oct 2006 17:57 GMT7
What exactly does cat nip do, I have been told it works only with some cats,
is it available for sale (UK) I have this scratch pad that I was hoping to
cover in cat nip.  I have toys for my cats and my tomcat is nuts for this
mouse which contains catnip.

House cats purrrrring...20 Oct 2006 04:50 GMT15
Why do cats purr and what causes them to purr? What is the purr sound you
hear from them? Is it the rhythm of their heart, or what?
Cats and Garlic20 Oct 2006 04:32 GMT5
I was reading an article which states the following:
"Onions, Garlic, & Related Root Vegetables"
Onions contain a substance (N-propyl disulphide) which destroys red
blood cells in the cat, causing a form of anemia called Heinz body
