Strange behavior21 Sep 2006 14:16 GMT15
Does anyone else's cat seem to look around at things that aren't there?  I
know this sounds like and odd question, but my cat is always stopping dead
in her tracks to stare at  something...but there's nothing there...she'll be
looking at a wall and then start looking all around ...
Vet Advice, NOT Diagnosis....21 Sep 2006 00:07 GMT3
Just stumbled on this group and thought I'd say Howdy! I'm a vet of 28+
years with biggest love for our feline friends. Any advice or help I can
render, please ask!
Question about older cat20 Sep 2006 07:21 GMT7
My cat is 15 years old and such a sweet girl.  She still has lots of vim and
vigor.  About a year ago she started throwing up hairballs.  I've bought
hairball medicine, hairball control food and have tried everything.  Before
that, she never had a problem with hairballs.  She ...
Update on kitten who wouldn't use litterbox20 Sep 2006 05:38 GMT2
She mostly does now! YIPPIE!!
Still about every 3 days she'll "go" somewhere else, but that's when she's
far away from the litterbox.
I guess it just took persistance. I had my kids help me out and we just put
Spraying20 Sep 2006 01:49 GMT1
I have a female (spayed) cat.  We recently brought another cat into the house (a
stray male), and the female has starting spraying in the house.  I think it's a
reaction to having another cat in the house.  Any suggestions?

Human illness to cats19 Sep 2006 17:15 GMT2
I seen another post about humans getting illnesses FROM cats and have
often wondered about the reverse.  Came cats get illness FROM humans??
Iy seems when I am ill and down in bed there is always at least one
that wants to sleep by me.  Do not know if they can sense me being ill
Excessive Grooming19 Sep 2006 04:31 GMT8
We have a 5 year old female spayed cat. She grooms heself to the point where
she has no hair left on her belly, hind legs and now her back. We have taken
her to the vet and he gives her a cortizone shot which helps for approx 1 week
and she is back at it again. We have tried the ...

I received a cat from my brother, they had 2 other cats. This was a
runt. The 2 other cats would not play with her and made her eat last.So
I got the cat. Now no matter what food I feed her she gobbles it like it
is her last bite. Then she vomits. she is 3 years old and I feed her
That "Ugly the Tom Cat" reminded me..18 Sep 2006 23:31 GMT4
We have one in our neighborhood that we feed.  I wanted to find a
cathouse to put outside to keep him from the cold.  (not that is going
to freeze this winter in Miami).  I need a house that I can hide in the
front bushes and that would be attacting to a cat who has probably
What Color Are Your Cats Eyes?18 Sep 2006 23:04 GMT4
Isis has green-yellow eyes. That got me to wondering if these little guys
have multi-colored eyes like people or if one size fits all?
Does anyone have a cat with blue, brown or other colored eyes? Or maybe you
have a cat with one eye that's one color and the other another??
shrimp18 Sep 2006 18:05 GMT7
Anything wrong with feeding cooked shrimp to a cat.  It has always been a
struggle to feed my finicky little girl.  But, she loves shrimp.  I give her
about 3 shrimp each night.  Any problem with this?   Otherwise all she will
eat is some canned cat food juice (not the food) or ...
Ways to torture a cat - method 217 Sep 2006 16:46 GMT7
2 -- Tail tricks....This is the fun part...Seeing the cat can't really
get to it's tail, you can do sh.t with it and the cat it defenseless.
Try tying the cat's tail to his front paw, cuz everyone time it walks,
it's tail get's pulled, looks like some diseased person trying to walk.
"Sterilization" Instead of "Spay and Neuter"17 Sep 2006 10:32 GMT12
A couple of days ago the American-Statesman, the daily newspaper here in
Austin, Texas, ran an editorial urging people to have their dogs and cats
"sterilized" as a means of reducing pet overpopulation and the resulting
unpleasant euthanizing. As I've for who knows how long ...
