best way to transport cat across the country27 Sep 2006 23:57 GMT2
is it safe to use the airlines to transport a cat?  should I buy the
cat a seat in the passenger's cabin or put him in with the cargo?
Anybody with specific experiences with US airlines?
cat loosing weight27 Sep 2006 18:55 GMT7
our older cat has heart murmer but otherwise seemed healthy until about a
year ago when she began loosing weight. It's a chore to get her to eat now
and she feels like a skeleton with fur. We're on Social Security and can't
afford vet fees . Suggestions? mr_ed@isp.com.
Best kind of floor for cats?27 Sep 2006 18:19 GMT41
We get quite a bit of urine. And we're going to put down a new floor. A
friend recommends against wood or the fake wood floors. My wife wants the
tile, I guess it's called ... well the thich hard kind, like mad out of
stone. I think sheet vinyl would be the easiest to clean and ...
Vomiting27 Sep 2006 06:52 GMT1
Thank you to all that responded. Baby is 3 years old . And no she does
not vomit all of the time. And she doesn't eat it again. I left her for
1 week in august and she did not vomit the whole week I was gone. She
had a self feeder. She is a very healthy cat. I have seen no parasites
Feeling 'maternal' towards cats27 Sep 2006 06:51 GMT2
[warning: this is a totally pointless rant. It has not point, poor
grammar & spelling, do not read unless *really* bored!]
When I was a kid I treated my cat like a little baby. Even when she was
no longer a kitten - she was an adult cat, she was still pretty small.

Okay, there's just a few pics of Luthien here, from about one year ago,
before she lost all the weight due to hyperthyroidism.
Will cats eat slugs26 Sep 2006 17:41 GMT2
My female cat will bring all sorts of things home, mice and birds she gives
to me, dragonflies and slugs she will not give to me and will take evasive
action and move with great speed to make sure I do not get hold of her.  It
is a strange sight to see her come through the open ...
In Nature, does the father-cat look after the babies or  is just the mommy?26 Sep 2006 08:21 GMT4
So... it is like a marriage.. does the daddy cat look after the kids
...or does he just get mommy pregnant then disappear?
blocked tear duct help26 Sep 2006 03:26 GMT3
We adopted a cat a few years ago. When we first brought him to the vet, they
suspected a past eye infection or upper respiratory problem.  After a course
of eye drops and I think also antibiotics but still a drippy eye, we took
him back for another visit.  Another exam revealed ...
Cat gone 3 days26 Sep 2006 03:03 GMT32
My neigbours cat which is the sister of mine goes out for 3 days and  then
returns, is this normal.  She always comes back could it be that she is
getting food elsewhere.
What do you do with your pet when it's time comes??  buried? cremated? left at the vet for disposal? stuffed!?26 Sep 2006 02:30 GMT22
I am just wondering your opinions... I have previously buried a cat in his
bed, in a steel encased box, at my country home.
Just curious what the rest of you have done or plan to do...
My cats need to be fed26 Sep 2006 00:32 GMT2
I mean, it's not enough that the food is there for them ... they need to be
personally fed, almost encouraged to eat, sometimes, even when it is
apparent that they are hungry. I guess their mother kitty spoiled them which
I think is kind of endearing.
Sick and abandoned feral kittens25 Sep 2006 23:44 GMT3
First it was a feral kitten who got too sick to run away, then it was a
little guy abandoned by its mom. Why do cat moms abandon kittens?
They're so sweet, and life is so unfair to them.

Kitten died.  Causes?25 Sep 2006 18:34 GMT9
Today, an abandoned kitten my wife and I discovered died after approximately
36 hours in our care.  Of course, we're pretty shaken up about this.   It was
maybe 4 days old or so when we found it among an ant colony in a shady spot
under a bush.  It surely would have died sooner had ...
