he bites30 Sep 2006 23:17 GMT5
I just found a baby kitten in my front yard he was living in the sewer but
once I let him stay in my house overnight he kept coming back so we decided
to keep him. We took him to the vet and they say he is about 3 months old.
The only thing is when I kiss the top of his head and his ...
Cat death squads in Iraq30 Sep 2006 20:47 GMT7
I just heard about this the other day watching C-Span.
This is not a political statement about my views on Iraq per-se.
It seems that in the 'Green Zone' in Bagdad, Halliburton issued an
order
Roomate's cat eating all my cat's food.30 Sep 2006 19:01 GMT9
Okay, I know I wrote about the litterbox issue but this is even bugging
me more. My roommate's cat, we'll call him Annoying, keeps coming in my
room and eating my cat's food. It bugs me because my cat's food is
expensive, and his isn't.
Need Names For Two Female Kittens30 Sep 2006 15:38 GMT29
We recently adopted two female kittens and we need names for them. They
are tiger cats, one is grey and white and the other is grey, white and
black. We have thought of "Laverne and Shirley" but our kids don't
remember the TV show. Names like "Fling and Drop-kick" may amuse the

My next door neighbours cat had a kitten under my shed the summer. I
have been leaving food out for her just under the shed and it seems she is
eating it. I know the kitten is female she since the kitten is a tortoise
shell.

Okay, finally I got some old SLR pictures into the laptop.  Scanner is
on the blink, so I just took pictures of them using the digital
camera.  Sorry about the glare on some of them, but they
were glossy prints and the flash *would* tend to reflect back.
Book suggestions29 Sep 2006 20:27 GMT14
I picked up a book called "How to Get your Cat to Do what you Want" and I
would suggest it to anyone. The Author Warren Eckstein (spelling?) also has a
Radio show on Sundays, late morning. He has a gentle training method that
considers that cats instincts.  He has the answers to ...
Litterbox problem for older cats29 Sep 2006 14:56 GMT4
I just read the post about "Litterbox Problem" with the kitten.  Our problem
is a little different.  We have two cats.  They are both a year old, one is
three months older than the other one.  They have been using the litterbox
just fine until about 5 to 6 months ago.  The litter ...
Tinfoil on plants29 Sep 2006 06:51 GMT4
Whoever made this suggestion - it kept the kitten out of the pot, but
turned her into a circus acrobat, balanced delicately on the edge of the
pot. Anything else to keep a kitten out of as house plant?
Thanks....
Breeds that travel well?29 Sep 2006 06:46 GMT4
Can anyone provide any information on what breed of cat (if any) is best if
one wishes to take them along for vacation in a car?  I heard perhaps a Manx
or a Ragdoll, but was looking for some confirmation...  I have a vacation
property about 2 hours away from my home and would ...
New here28 Sep 2006 21:20 GMT2
I thought I didn't like cats.  Had dogs for all 78 years of life,
then, last Halloween, this orange long haired tabby about a year old
walked in between the ghosts and witches and told us he was staying.
Took him 2 minutes to cow the dog.  Took him two days to learn how to

So spent my first session with the two ferals.28 Sep 2006 10:22 GMT2
I made the mistake of rushing the little black one (I'm called her Freya
for the time being.) and get well scratched for my efforts. The other
one (Mogwai for now) was fine to lie down and be scratched gently.
All in all it didn't go too badly.
Glass bottom litter box28 Sep 2006 05:45 GMT8
I want a glass bottom litter box.  Then I can shape it like a barge.
And the cat can use it while it gently floats down The Nile River.
The cat would like that I think.

Safe plants for cats28 Sep 2006 04:24 GMT7
I've recently moved and now have a large fenced patio and am looking forward
to planting things and also allowing my indoor cat out to enjoy the sun and
air every so often, which he is always dying to do but I have been reluctant
to allow b/c he's an indoor cat. I was wondering if ...
