Anyone know at what indoor temperature one should watch out for heat stroke
and cats? Can a cat handle 80° F. for certain periods of time?
I like the heat and don't usually rush to put on the air conditioner, but I
was thinking it would be nice to set it to come on at a certain ...

shadow fascination05 Aug 2006 10:16 GMT3
Around 3 am I woke up and, realizing I was sleeping on the couch I went to
get up and go to bed.  But, when I rolled over, I saw my cat sitting about a
foot from a corner of the dining room and she was facing the corner and just
staring.  I thought that was a little weird.  So, I ...
My old cat is doing a lot better04 Aug 2006 21:38 GMT8
I said I'd keep you posted when my cat dies, but it seems it won't be for now.
Yesterday, the night was fresh and he ate quite a bit. I mixed some of his

Almost, at first. Of course, he managed to leave ...

Can you freeze wet cat food?03 Aug 2006 23:00 GMT2
I've got 3 cats that I feed seperately from my other three and they all
eat wet food.  Mostly because I had a crystal issue with one of the
female cats and put her on wet food to prevent that from happening
again.  It's worked out.  They all love it and I think they get a lot
Worried about my old cat03 Aug 2006 22:44 GMT39
My cat is 17 years old now. Just like every cat, at the onset of summer, he'd
lose a pound or two, but now, he's lost more. I can feel every bone of his
spine, he's getting scrawny.
Sometimes, he's got a hard time swallowing and he pukes. I fed him what he
My cat is gulpy.03 Aug 2006 15:03 GMT3
Hi, I have a little tabby cat who is about 8 years old. And I
have no idea what is going on but, she does this very odd thing where
she gulps very hard and does strange things with her tongue ( reminds
me of a snake ). I have no idea what this is, and I am a bit worried.

hi there.  We brought in a new kitten this weekend from the local aspca.
she'd been there for two weeks and they had treated her in some way for
fleas.  she is ten weeks old now.  unfortunately she brought fleas with her.
they appear to be proliferating.  So, what is the current ...

Article from Today's Guardian - seems bit heavy handed/petty?
A catfight has broken out in America's southernmost town over the future of
some of its famous citizens - dozens of six-toed felines descended from a
pet belonging to the writer Ernest Hemingway.
