Pet health insurance18 Aug 2006 12:22 GMT6
Do you think it's a better idea to get insurance for your cat that
covers just routine matinence like checkups or only illnesses and
accidents? Seems like pet insurance companies chose one or the other
and not both unless it's something like $50 a month. I love cats, but
Just Count How Many Times This Cat Flushes the Toilet18 Aug 2006 01:13 GMT3
I know what this cat is thinking---"Where does the water go after it
goes down the hole?"
You can just see it trying to figure out the mechanics of flushing.
Clearly, animals do reason in a way that sort of resembles human
are self-cleaning litter boxes worthwhile?18 Aug 2006 00:56 GMT26
Can somebody who recently switched to a self-cleaning litter box answer
a few questions for me?
1) Is the litter much more expensive than regular clumping litter?  Do
you have to use more litter?
Questions for Omega Paw Users17 Aug 2006 23:00 GMT9
Omega Paw litterbox users who post here seem almost universally  happy
with them, which seems to be far from the case with the Littermaid
users.
I'm thinking of getting one of these but there's a couple of things
Kitty with leather fetish17 Aug 2006 13:17 GMT8
I have a two year old kitty that likes to chew on our leather shoes. I have a
Dooney & Burke that she enjoyed too. We are wanting leather furniture. I
really don't want to give her up, but I don't want to spend out a lot of
money on furniture that will be chewed up. I have found ...
Arm & Hammer litter17 Aug 2006 10:44 GMT11
I've been using it for about 3 months. The new stuff came out and I went
through the roof ... $8/10 lbs, but when I saw it was flushable and has no
dust I tried it. It looks better, smells better, is easier to scoop, and
seems to last longer ... but two of our cats won't use it, ...
Travelling in a car with Kitty17 Aug 2006 02:39 GMT8
One of our Babies has cancer. She had a tumor removed from her nose four weeks
ago, and next week we are going to drive her to Ithaca, NY to Cornell Animal
Hospital for a radiation treatment. It's a five hour drive, and she freaks on
the five minute ride to the Vet, which is a half ...
Food Bowl Empty - I Must Pay16 Aug 2006 22:56 GMT11
I often fail to check Isis' food bowl several times a day the way I should
and thus it is sometimes empty for up to a full hour. If I fill that bowl up
to the brim then she hogs out and I end up cleaning up little kitty puke
messes so I have to allocate the food.
Cat seizure/uncoordination16 Aug 2006 20:59 GMT5
Twice within the past month, my 13-year old neutered female cat acted
like she's had a seizure, except that I'm not sure if it really was a
seizure.  During those times I found her scrambling around acting
uncoordinated and frightened, but after some petting and reassurance,
Question about dull fur, dandruft type flakes16 Aug 2006 20:26 GMT14
I have 3 cats, all indoor cats.
All 3 of them appear to have dull fur, and when I brush them, I see small
flakey skin(?) coming off them.
I feed them on tinned food in the am, and leave them dry buscuits for the
Cats are scratching the railing16 Aug 2006 14:19 GMT5
On the stairs that lead to the 2-fl floor we have a set of the wooden
railings that the cats are scratching, is there anything I can do to
prevent/distract them from scratching the posts? Thank you.
OTC eye wash for cats16 Aug 2006 01:39 GMT10
Occassionally my furbabies get dust - dirt in their eyes from crawling where
they do not belong.
Is there a good OTC eye wash that anyone can reccommend to flush the dust -
dirt out of their eyes??  Something like "Visine for cats"??
toxoplasma gondii15 Aug 2006 21:05 GMT1
Pat's Note: I have just been doing some checking. For once my use of Google
has rather let me down. Many articles dealing with toxoplasmosis, don't
actually use the word, prefering instead to talk about the actual parasite,
rather than the condition.
Please help me decide.15 Aug 2006 20:10 GMT39
I am torn.  There are two kittens, about 4-5 months old about where my
daughter lives.  A yellow tabby and a gray tabby.  For the looks of it,
the yellow is male and the gray female.  I've been putting food for
them almost every day.  I carry cat food in my car to feed a stray or
my cat chews on wood15 Aug 2006 19:45 GMT10
is this normal?
