How To Introduce A Second Cat10 Jul 2006 00:02 GMT2
If you have to introduce a second cat into your house, your first kitty cat
may have trouble getting used to the new intruder. If you put a little
perfume on both cats, so that they will smell the same as each other, they
will trust each other more. - from the Cats section of www ...

*whew*09 Jul 2006 20:16 GMT5
Well, i fed the mom and she let me pet her a bit, she is still a bit skittish
but fine. So i followed her to where she was sitting before...and she laid
down, and Patches (a kitten i named) poked it's head up. I was so relieved.
Diamond (the mom, to which i named her)  hissed at me. ...

Can someone please tell me the best way to keep cats away from my property?
I know this is a sensitive topic in such a nice group but I am counting on
the wonderful people that can offer some helpful hints with this. I love all
animals and would have as many cats as I could ...
Cat's dry skin. Any suggestions?09 Jul 2006 18:55 GMT3
Anybody have any good suggestions to alleviate my cat's dry skin problem.
He's in pretty good condition but I have noticed dry skin flakes on his
coat when he gets his twice-weekly brushing.
Thanks.
Furry Rectal Remains09 Jul 2006 16:00 GMT6
We own two beautiful female Lynx Point Siamese cats who walk around with
their tails proudly held high.
One -Angel- is typical weight and has a sparkling pink little rectum...
The other -Roxy- is chunky and displays a somewhat brown rectum with severe
Mega colon surgery09 Jul 2006 07:56 GMT2
It looks like our cat may have emergency surgery for mega colon as soon
as we can find a surgeon.
Our regular vet says it looks like she has an old injury, a broken
pelvis, or a congenital problem that makes her pelvic area much smaller
Catching Birds08 Jul 2006 17:16 GMT5
I have a male and female cat and I do not like them wearing collars but the
only thing the collars had bells which I believed gave the birds a chance to
get away.  It is only my female cat that brings them home but sometimes she
has brought several young chicks and even a nest.  ...

Our cat has no pigment on part of  the end of it's nose (ie pink nose) and
we have started applying a broad spectrum sunscreen when he goes outside
(normally only on week-ends).
However we have noticed that after only a couple of applications the fine
Is it possible to get cats to be friend?07 Jul 2006 20:13 GMT1
Recently I got a 1 1/2 years old male cat that someone I know couldn't keep.
I already had another female cat about 4 years old. The problem is with two
other cats (my son's) that also live in my house and will be here for
several months. These two can live together but they ...
Odd observation...07 Jul 2006 20:07 GMT3
Ok, so we all know that our furry feline friends can sense our feelings
sometimes, such as being extra clingy when you're sick or sad.  Well, my cat
plays sort of rough with me, due to my lack of knowledge on how to teach her
not to play with me using her claws and teeth when I ...
Hurt Kitty :(07 Jul 2006 03:26 GMT3
I recently went on vacation and left my cats here at home. When I came
back, my male cat had evidently gotten into a fight. One of his perfect
blue eyes was brown with a giant black spot taking over most of it. It
also looked like it had a little blood in it, which has gone away now ...

Scratching everything06 Jul 2006 23:58 GMT1
My cat scratches, or should I say flexes her claws, on everything in site.
My couch, chairs, curtains.  I bought her a scratching post with a little
thing with a spring on the top.  She doesn't go near it.  What do I do or
