This is my first post to the group, so I hope this is the right place to

For T\the Love of a Rug11 Jul 2006 22:40 GMT1
We have a small rug, about three feet by five feet which is placed under our
Pebbles (a Maine Coon Cat) litter box. Yesterday we decided to wash the
little rug. When the rug was placed in the dryer Pebbles tried desperately to
get into the laundry room. She laid on the floor and ...

Bigger than the others.11 Jul 2006 13:14 GMT2
-- A series of a few questions--
i`ve been taking care of these kittens and the mom for a few days. She
doesn't mind my presence, and she comes around and rubs me when she eats and
what-not. I followed her to the back of the room where her kittens are a few
Survey...male vs female behavior when someone is at the door11 Jul 2006 01:26 GMT6
Another thread brought up the difference between cats behavior when
someone comes to the door. The other poster and I both have male cats
who go to the door to see who it is and female cats who hide. Is this
common or just a coincidence?
Took Kittens To Animal Shelter11 Jul 2006 00:29 GMT4
Arrggg....
There are about 4 neighborhood cats in my area. My next door neighbor feeds
them and I don't mind so much. But one of them had 5 kittens. We don't need
9-10 cats around here. I let the mother care for the kittens and guessed
Why does my cat lick the other cats' butts?11 Jul 2006 00:27 GMT1
Ok, so I have a male cat, neutered, approximately 1 year old.  I am
currently fostering 4 kittens that are around 7 weeks old.  Well my cat
keeps going around to all the kittens and licking/cleaning their butts.
I cannot figure out this behavior.  Worse still, one of the kittens
How can you keep one cat from atacking another?11 Jul 2006 00:14 GMT3
Recently I got a 1 1/2 years old male cat that someone I know couldn't keep.
I already had another female cat about 4 years old. The problem is with two
other cats (my son's) that also live in my house and will be here for
several months. These two can live together but they ...

I bought one of those shedding blades at Wal-Mart eariler and I finally

My cat's lower back seems to hurt10 Jul 2006 21:48 GMT12
My 7 year old cat has suddenly started flinching (jerking her body and
meowing with attempts to bite my hand) everytime I pet her back, especially
when I get to the middle of her back and all the way towards her tail.  She
appears fine, good appetite, playful, happy, etc.  but all ...

Worried about old cat10 Jul 2006 19:54 GMT4
Our cat is about 17/18 years old and he's losing his appetite, seems to
be losing his legs - when he jumps up to something or back down he
doesn't land on his feet and falls. I think this is also stopping him
getting into his little box as he's started doing the toilet all over
