Cat flap query15 May 2006 04:46 GMT1
I've just installed a cat flap and am wondering what's the best way of
introducing my six year old cat to it? He's never used one before.
He was very curious as to what it was and was excited to see the outside
through the see-through flap. I opened it and he dashed out and didn't ...
cat looks15 May 2006 04:42 GMT3
Does your cat give you any "looks"?
Whenever I admonish Big Mama for something wrong
(which she rarely does anything wrong), she gives
me "the look"......like most females, she kind of squints
Not covering her poop15 May 2006 02:15 GMT22
I adopted a cat about a month ago, she is about three years old.  She is an
indoor cat, so obviously used to using boxes.  But when she poops she does
not cover her poop, and sometimes I have to get up in the middle of the
night and cover poop in the box.  Is this a territorial ...
Advice needed on matted hair14 May 2006 17:53 GMT3
I have little experience with cats, and none with long-laired ones.   Love
'em tho!
I have inherited a beautiful white long-hiared cat with a few matted spots,
How can I get his matted pieces clear?  I've tried cutting close to the skin
Bite marks14 May 2006 16:33 GMT1
Hello. Any help will be appreciated. I have 5 cats. All have been
neutered/spayed. I have one cat (male) who is apparently being bitten behind
one of his ears. I haven't seen the culprit who is doing it to him. I am
giving first aid to him, and it starts to heal and then he ...
Least Toxic Flea Collar?14 May 2006 16:09 GMT4
I just went to buy a new flea collar for my cat and I notice they all
use different chemicals. They also warn about getting it on your skin,
and how you have to carefully wash your hands after touching this. I
was a bit alarmed as this can't be that great for my kitty either. Is
Cat rejecting her litter box14 May 2006 15:38 GMT17
My cat is 9 years old.  She has always been  very good about using the
litter box until recently.  Now she pees in the closet hamper and poops on
the hardwood floor about 3 feet from her open litter box.
For years, I have spayed her litter box with bleach and mixed it in ...
Another cat question14 May 2006 15:06 GMT6
Our 6-8wk old kitty just adopted us a week ago.  She is learning the rules
of her domain but the one major problem remaining is her nipping at hands,
fingers, and ankles, etc.  How do we get her to stop the nipping?

My cat just had kittens 3 weeks ago, and she is not allowing them to nurse.
She recognizes them because she grooms them. What should I do?
Cat not cleaning properly14 May 2006 14:26 GMT11
My one male cat, tabby, is not cleaning himself properly, in the "bum"
area.  This only just started yesterday and I'm a bit concerned.  He
seems fine, but it's very annoying to find a "spot" on your bed where
you cat was just sitting... I did read that it is possible he is

Magnetic and electonic cat doors work well?13 May 2006 01:56 GMT3
I am considering buying an automatic (magnetic or electronic) cat door but
am having difficulty finding out how well they work.
On eopinions.com, the reviews are mostly negative regarding one model, but
there are a very few (2-3)reviews.
