Is 4 1/4" opening sufficient for most cats to pass through?17 May 2006 04:31 GMT2
Please help!
There are so many cat lovers here and at least some of you must have
cat doors. I need to install one before next winter, so the cat I feed
wouldn't have to wait outside on a snowy windy porch before I spot her.
Cats Home Alone17 May 2006 01:56 GMT24
Am considering leaving my 2 indoor cats at home alone while I go on a 7
day vacation. Nobody available to do the pet-sitter thing. If they have
the run of the house, plenty of food and water, extra litter boxes,
toys, and each other -- do you think that this is a feasable plan? I

5 Cats - New Dog Breed/Age Compatibility16 May 2006 20:51 GMT7
I currently have five cats (rough ages 8,3,3,3,2). They generally all
get along with only a scuffle here and there.
My wife and I are moving into a larger house (for us - about 2,000
sqft) and plan to get a dog. We'll have around a half acre fenced in

What is this strange new ritual betweem my two cats16 May 2006 15:25 GMT2
I have two neutered male cats ages about 8 and 3 years old.  The older one
(who is the grand uncle of the younger) has been the dominant of the two
except for a short two or three week period about 4 months ago when it
appeared that the younger cat was challenging the older one for ...

Good canned food?16 May 2006 04:57 GMT4
Would you all be kind enough to look at these numbers:

and help me select which canned foods are "good"?
I am sure many will benefit from the list.
Super Affectionate Kitty-Kat16 May 2006 04:55 GMT11
About six months ago my "significant other" and I adopted a year old female
cat that had been rescued from an abusive environment. We named her Pebbles.
For her first month with us Pebbles lived almost entirely underneath the
living room couch, venturing out only in the middle of ...

We have a about 6 year old male cat who has all of a sudden began peeing in
the living room.  This started ever since our uncle has temporarily moved in.
He still goes poo and everything in the litter box, but earlier this evening
we have caught him in action peeing behind the couch ...
Matted problem16 May 2006 04:24 GMT8
I have little experience with cats, and none with long-laired ones.   Love
'em tho!
I have inherited a beautiful white long-hiared cat with a few matted spots,
How can I get his matted pieces clear?  I've tried cutting close to the skin
Cats to be killed in Melbourne, Australia - Please help me.16 May 2006 00:44 GMT3
I hope this is the right newsgroup to post this in and that it is not
considered spamming. I have made a petition to help save some cats that are
going to be put down and i would be thrilled if anyone could sign it or pass
it around. That would be a huge help. The petition is at ...

Caloric needs of cats?15 May 2006 19:27 GMT2
Sometime ago, I had a posted a question about how much to feed a cat.
The response I rememebr (from Phil and others) was 20 Kcal per lb of
body weight per day, for a neutered adult. So, for a 5 lb cat it would
be 100 Kcal per day.
