Hellish week!03 Mar 2006 13:37 GMT1
I've not been posting for a while because my beloved Panther disappeared for
6 days.  This morning (of the 7th day), my husband found Panther snoozing
nonchalantly in her bed as if nothing had happed.  We have had the most
wretched week and have been sleepless, nervous wrecks.  ...
Ringworm!02 Mar 2006 22:06 GMT7
I recently adopted Jaxon, a now four month old kitten from the local
humane society, and he has ringworm!!!  He has already had 12 days with
the pills Griseofulvin and the ringworm came back (or what not fully
gone in the first place)  It started as one large spot.  That spot is
would you give up to keep your cats and dogs because of bird flu?02 Mar 2006 20:34 GMT1
I have read this terrible news
"The deadly strain of bird flu has been found in a cat in Germany,
officials said Tuesday, the first time the virus has been identified in
an animal other than a bird in central Europe."
Claw clipping question02 Mar 2006 16:53 GMT8
We have a couple of Siamese, retired show cats and very highly strung.
We have been clipping their claws, but they hate it and it always turns
into an undignified brawl.  How important is it to clip their claws?

While on the canned food discussion....02 Mar 2006 01:11 GMT2
Let me throw  out a question here....I spent the better half of an hour
reading labels on all brands of canned cat food at the store the other
day...I've determined that if the first 3 ingrediants are not some sort of
grain(wheat flour, cornmeal,soy flour,dried beet pulp, etc ...
Acceptable canned foods (thanks Phil, others please add)01 Mar 2006 16:58 GMT10
I love philosophical and scientific statements found here and in web
pages, but they still don't solve my practical problem: Standing inside
a Petsmart (the only such store near us), what is good to buy and what
is not? My cat can decide the taste, but I have to screen for nutrition
My cat chews anything paper!01 Mar 2006 15:56 GMT4
Why is my neutered 10 month old male comestic shorthair chewing EVERYTHING
in sight?  He used to be an outdoor cat until I moved a cuople of months
ago to a "city" environment and don't want to let him go out.  He has sat
at the door many times, but has never made the move to run ...
Sleepy Lazy Cats01 Mar 2006 07:17 GMT13
I can't speak for others, but Isis sleeps probably 20 hours a day. She
sleeps on the radiators, under a 250 watt lamp in my office, in her heated
kitty nest, and on my bed. She sleeps after eating, after walking down
stairs, and after a sun bath.
