cat behaviour05 Mar 2006 19:04 GMT3
One thing I have always wondered.....When you stroke a cat, why does it
stick its bum in the air as your hand reaches its tail?
Ever single cat I have ever known does it. Even when the cat is curled up on
your lap and you are stroking it, when your hand goes towards the tail it

my cats have done (past and present) whilst I am in the midst of doing
naughty things with my partner. :)

chicken and rice05 Mar 2006 05:16 GMT17
is it more cost effective to give your cat fresh cooked chicken and
rice, instead of buying the stuff in cans?  I mean, the stuff in cans
is probably gizzards and grist, while I can give my kitty chicken
breast at a cheaper price if I cook it myself!
The Prodigal Cat04 Mar 2006 23:43 GMT20
It's been almost four years since I adopted a pair of stray cats, that
wandered onto our property one day with their mother and two other siblings.
The others soon left, but these two stayed and decided to make this their
home. But one disappeared a couple of years ago, leaving me ...
Is there any inexpensive treatment for ear mites?04 Mar 2006 22:07 GMT3
Revolution runs about $50 here. There's something from Hartz Mountain for
about $5 but it warns about the problems associated with pets and
pesticides. Ivermectin is expensive too, as you guys know.

I have two cats, Nemo and Kipper. They are currently slightly past 1

they play with each other. (In other words, Nemo's normal food amount plus
a little extra, and kipper's normal food amount plus a little ...

Emergency Surgery for Bagheera04 Mar 2006 01:49 GMT10
We learned this week that my son's cat, Bagheera is in desperate need of
emergency surgery.  His girlfriend walked in after school one afternoon
and caught him eating a fabric softener.
His vet prescribed a laxative which was administered to no avail.  He
Good canned foods: what to look for?03 Mar 2006 23:37 GMT55
I know this topic has been discussed before, but I couldn't find a post
that puts it all together. If you would state what to look for in
canned food (from health and nutrition point of view), I would
volunteer to put it together in one post.

Yesterday (Thursday) I noticed my female cat using the litter tray a lot of

on rare occasions, its just there for emergencies), each time she only had
a little piddle, at 5.50pm she went outside the litter ...

I have a nine month old cat named Mischu. I got him when he was six
