We've rehomed a cat 5 days ago (from an RSPCA approved sanctuary) and

On Saturday I decided to get a new cat as our beloved one had passed away 2

why do cats dislike water and bathing??08 Mar 2006 21:40 GMT9
I heard that cats are natural swimmers.  If you dropped a kitten in a
lake, he would be able to automatically swim.  In the wild, cats are
known to dive for fish.
So why do cats dislike bathing?
Cats Tails08 Mar 2006 19:05 GMT12
Ive been told that the way a cat moves its tail tells you alot about how
he/she is feeling. Ive got a ginger and white tom and if we're playing on
the floor with a toy, sometimes he lies on his side and bashes his tail hard
on the carpet. Does this mean he's angry, excited??

Prefers to eat when I'm by it's food bowl - why ?07 Mar 2006 21:20 GMT16
My cat prefers to eat when I'm nearby the bowl doing stuff in the
kitchen. Is it just the fact that he attaches me going in the kitchen
with food ? He always has food in the bowl - he ignores it most of the
time I'm at home and just seems to eat it when I'm in the kitchen.
Maryland Owner wishes to breed a blue point siamese to a burmese06 Mar 2006 22:38 GMT1
I have 2 siamese cats:  a seal point and a blue point.  I am waiting
for the blue point to go into heat, and I would be interested in mating
her to a sable Burmese if I could find owners who would be willing.
I have raised Siamese cats since I was a child, and I have also owned

In October, we bought our kitten (we call him Buddy) from a PetSmart when he

home with a nice case of ringworm.  We put him on oral and ...

cat behaviour05 Mar 2006 19:04 GMT3
One thing I have always wondered.....When you stroke a cat, why does it
stick its bum in the air as your hand reaches its tail?
Ever single cat I have ever known does it. Even when the cat is curled up on
your lap and you are stroking it, when your hand goes towards the tail it
