Neutered Alpha Male Cat keeps biting spayed female cat24 Feb 2006 22:02 GMT3
My oldest cat, Shadow, is almost seven years old and is the alpha cat in the
household.  The other cats have never tried to take that status from him.
The problem I am having is that he continually kinda mounts and bites my
oldest female cat, Ebby (she's almost seven also, they ...
advice request for kitten nursing his brother24 Feb 2006 07:21 GMT2
Well, he's nursing on his brother's fur and his spayed mother's tummy fur
where her nipls are.
Should I worry, separate them or will he grow out of it?  Will this behavior
cause psychological illness in the poor host cat?  The kitty/leech is not

Scratching furniture23 Feb 2006 06:12 GMT6
Our kitten/young cat is now 7-months old, and is still
scratching up a storm which is to be expected.
Any chance that she will reduce or stop scratching our
furniture as she gets older?
Kitten Bites Me at Night While I'm Sleeping23 Feb 2006 04:23 GMT6
I have a kitten that is about 7 months old.  She's a great cat except
for the fact that she bites my chin at night.  She never bites me
otherwise EVER.  It's only in the middle of the night while I'm
sleeping and it's always my chin- never anywhere else.  She only

Advice for choosing cat / cats22 Feb 2006 20:26 GMT8
Hi, I'm hoping to become a cat owner soon, and I'm looking for some
advice in choosing my new cat or cats. I've never owned a cat before,
but I'm an animal lover and I have kept dogs and rats in the past, so
I'm aware of the commitment involved in keeping a pet.
Sucking question..22 Feb 2006 13:33 GMT5
My mother has 2 kittens, Ritchie (Male) and Kitty (female). Now I'd noticed
earlier in the week Ritchie has a habit of latching onto Kitty and sucking
her (neck, back wherever he can get) but last night Ritchie lay splayed out
on his back in mother's arms, with his back feet pointed ...

Can cats see TV, revisited22 Feb 2006 02:23 GMT12
For all those who think cats can't see TV, just now Gilly was watching the
screen saver on the monitor, the one with the goldfish in the aquarium.
Yesterday I came in to find him, nose pressed up against the monitor,
closely observing the same screen saver.

Pro Plan vs Fancy Feast?21 Feb 2006 19:21 GMT5
For somebody who has done a lot of staring at cans, I didn't notice
until today that both Pro Plan and Fancy Feast are Purina companies.
Since both are marketed as premium and are comparable in price, I was
wondering if one is regarded as better? Or is the same thing just
