My wife & I have a kitten that acts like it's about to fold up.  Weak,
very little appetite, lethargic, stunted growth when compared  to her
siblings.   Barely walks.  The vet really couldn't do much in the way
of diagnosis without blood tests, etc.  Heres the fun part-  This

Full-Mouth Bite?05 Jan 2006 14:20 GMT1
Our cat has started something new: light bites that involve it's entire mouth.
The other nite, it clamped on to my sweater like that.  When I started to
extricate myself (slowly), it grabbed my wrist.   This thing's mouth was wide
open.   All previous bites have been more of a nip ...
Cat drinking lots of water (more than usual)05 Jan 2006 14:06 GMT8
Our cat suddenly seems to be drinking lots of water.  He is a one year
old male ginger cat and since a kitten he has always drank from a mug.
He has recently started to drink a good cm or 2 of water a day from the
mug (big round one).  He eats a mixture or dry and wet food (quite a
Our 2 cats saved us from burgulars05 Jan 2006 13:53 GMT8
We left a sliding window 1/2 open a couple of nights ago. Local robbers
looking for drug-money (the Police advised), pulled off the insect screen
and gained access to our house (single story or level). This was at 3.30 AM.
Our 2 cats, Misty and Fatso got frightened and came running ...

4 Weeks Vacation: Take cat or leave at home?04 Jan 2006 06:44 GMT20
If we were lucky enough to be able to get four weeks down in Cape Hatteras (i.e.
pretty good-sized rental house) should we think about taking the cat along or
just leave it to fend for itself at home with somebody looking in on the
food/water situation every evening?

We have a 7 week old kitten with an apparent infection of the third eyelid
of both eyes.
Is there any over the counter antibacterial that we could look for to buy
for this? - hopefully on New Years Day.
Bath Time03 Jan 2006 19:25 GMT10
Anybody ever given their cat a bath? Somebody once told me they de-flee'd
their cat by dipping him in a bucket of soapy water which had anti-flee
shampoo in it. I daren't try that with my cats - I wouldn't be alive to tell
the tale.

I have fice of them and life seems to consist of mainly sleeping and eating.
I heard they need their sleep to grow new pad leather. I thought cats were
nocturnal - mine sleep all day and all night.

tooth brushing problem03 Jan 2006 04:28 GMT2
I try to brush my cat's teeth at least once a week and recently got a new
toothpaste for her in the malt flavor.  Before that I used a fish flavor and
she liked it all right.  Now, she ABSOLUTELY LOVES the malt flavor so much
that when she sees me get out her tooth brush and the ...
