Kneading & suckling16 Dec 2005 06:11 GMT7
I just got my first kitten ever and I absolutely love her! I just wonder
if it is normal that she kneads and suckles alot. She is 15 weeks old
and seems pretty well adjusted to her new surroundings, but I just
wonder if she was taken away from her momma too soon and will this

Choosing a charity15 Dec 2005 20:03 GMT3
It's that time of year again, and I'm getting a lot of mail requesting
charitable contributions. I already regularly donate to two area
no-kill cat groups (one of my cats came from one of them). I also get a
lot of mail from the HSUS and the ASPCA. They both sound like wonderful
Kittens & Alligators...15 Dec 2005 19:12 GMT65
I read a newspaper story the other day about a man charged with animal
cruelty for trying to feed a kitten to an alligator (the kitten survived).
Now I just love cats, but I can't see what would be illegal about this,
or what is particularly "cruel" about it.  I have a pet gopher ...
Cat's instincts15 Dec 2005 12:43 GMT8
My cat is approaching two years old now.  She is very aloof most of the
time, but will crawl up on my lap occasionally.  However, she will always
sleep with me, right on my chest, like she did when she was a kitten and
always wanted to be right with me.  Today, I had to have a ...
cat introduction problems15 Dec 2005 12:32 GMT12
I've been having troubles introducing my year and a half old female
tortie to my roommates two large black and white males who are both four
years old. I've been living here four months and have to keep my kitty
shut up in my room because she chases them. My cat isn't mean, or
Persistant Respiratory Infection15 Dec 2005 10:16 GMT2
I have a four year old male cat (Borgart) whom I adopted from a local
shelter 7 days ago.  He developed URI symptoms the second day I had
him. he began sneezing and I noticed very mild congestion. The biggest
sign of illness was the fact he was uninterested in food or water as

Feline annual flu-booster vac - necessary?13 Dec 2005 22:47 GMT1
Our vet seems to have boosted the price of the annual flu-enteritus
feline vaccination boosters this year by quite a large amount.
Unfortunately, there are only two vets within a 30-mile radius.  But
while I am angry that he seems to be making a packet out of the annual
Kitten going bald13 Dec 2005 22:32 GMT2
My mother found a stray kitten yesterday morning. She says the kitten
appears to be in good health. She gave it a bath and fed it, but then
started noticing the kitten's hair falling out. She says the skin under the
bald spots is clean and clear, no scabbing or anything. She also ...
Do we give too much pet food to our pets?13 Dec 2005 22:19 GMT35
Take a look at this photo? After seeing it, you have to ask yourself:
Do we feed our pets too much?
I think that the unhealthy lifestyle of humans is increasingly
affecting our pets and that they are becoming lazier and more obese
Anyone else own a "Tuxedo" cat?13 Dec 2005 14:35 GMT12
That's the type of cat that's mostly black, but has white in front
(usually on it's belly, paws and chin.)  There's some variance of
course, but I've seen several fo these.  They're really cute I think.
My male cat, Jasper, is one.  The other one, Callie, is a female
Good nutrition without dye/color?13 Dec 2005 03:43 GMT1
I've been feeding our cats Royal Canin for quite a few years now, with great
results.  However, they recently changed their formula and added a fiber
source - pumpkin, I suspect - and now, when someone has a hairball on the
carpet, it leaves a yellow stain.  Is there another really ...
Guess it had to happen...12 Dec 2005 22:09 GMT4
Well, my kitty found the toilet paper roll. Previously, I might find a few
shreds of toilet paper on the floor of the bathroom, but this time it was
the whole roll, everywhere, all over the place. As soon as I spotted the
mess on the floor, I looked around for the cat. It must be ...
