Our cats hate thunder09 Nov 2005 01:41 GMT9
Where we live, thunder is not a frequent event (live in the dry western
country of Australia). Every time we do get a storm, both the 4 yo house-cat
and the 9yo (or so, not exactly sure) stray we look after, slink around the
house low to the ground until they find a hidey-hole.
cat vaccines?08 Nov 2005 19:56 GMT3
Hi Group,
I'm wondering which vaccines my cat needs. She's strictly indoors, never
goes outdoors. The vet seems to sell them in "sets". You pay for 15 or so in
4 or 5 sets but you probably need only 3 or 4. Anyone know what an indoor
hyperthyroidism, radioactive iodine, and kidney failure in cats08 Nov 2005 19:40 GMT7
My cat just had radioactive iodine therapy for his hyperthyroidism.
Before receiving this treatement he was on methimazole long enough to
stabilize his T4 levels. When his T4 levels were normal, his kidney
functions were also normal. The vet interpreted this to mean that he

Vomiting cat07 Nov 2005 19:20 GMT10
One of our cats vomits quite frequently.  She's about five, pure-bred
Siamese, was a breeding queen, now spayed and we got her from the
breeder in July.  Her diet is regular Iams and water, which is what
she's had all her life.  When we first got her we thought the vomiting

Something like the life of an in, but not quite.07 Nov 2005 17:49 GMT1
We have a stray, a Maine Coon calico. Using a cat carrier; the kind that
opens in front, my wife put towels (a bathmat when it gets really cold) in
it. The bathmat is on top now, it isn't that cold yet. She sits regally,
sort of saying "this is my house, why are you here?" We ...

but I wanted to get some additional advice on my upcoming move from
Florida to Colorado with my two cats.
Neither of my cats likes riding in the car, but I'm not so worried
Feeding my cat milk06 Nov 2005 22:46 GMT18
My 15 year old male cat suddenly likes milk. So I have been giving him a
little bit every now and then. Is that okay for his health. It seems to have
caused him no ill effects.
