to determine quality of breed.
There is one breeder I have been talking to, who has a new litter. She
First check up11 Aug 2005 02:02 GMT2
I took Candy (7 weeks+)to the vets today for her first checkup and
found that she had conjunctivitus (?) which was causing her eyes to
weep a sort of black goo and they gave me oitment to be applied twice a
day. They also gave me an oral medicine for worms as they said she felt

My name is Joe, and I returned home last night from a camping trip to

the back of her neck. Then proceeded to spend the next 4 hours

We'd like to take a week or two off this fall.
The no-brainier would seem tb to leave our garage door open about 8 inches, lock

Please help me! I was stroking my cat when she came and rubbed her face

bathroom and washed my mouth with soap and water, then gargled with
An ego-crushing cat!10 Aug 2005 15:05 GMT4
I have mentioned that a cat visits us regularly and I feed her. Usually
she comes and waits in our 3rd floor back porch, even likes to come in
the house and watch TV for a while. Today I had a hilarious
ego-crushing experience wtih her!
Large Cats ???10 Aug 2005 11:20 GMT1
Apart from the Maine Coon or Ragdoll breeds. Does anyone know or can anyone
recommend any other large breeds, particularly shorter hair breeds. If they

I've heard the Russian. (ie white or Blue) are also large.
Phosphorous, ash10 Aug 2005 05:29 GMT4
Thanks to many comments made on this board, I have learned the value of
keeping the phosphorous content low. However, most cans do not seem to
list it, or does it go by some other name too? In particular, what is
"ash"?
Jealous cat10 Aug 2005 04:27 GMT5
I have a 4 1/2 year old cat and I recently introduced a female cat into the
house.  It has been over a month and he is not adjusting.  I have tried
putting vanilla on both of them and nothing seems to work.  The female
will not come out of her corner unless I take her out.  Recently ...

Re: Cat Epilepsy Fallow up09 Aug 2005 21:51 GMT1
Just a note to those that responded. Took the cat in to the vet and he
doesn't think it was a seizure. Perhaps a spider, bug bite or bee sting.
Everything checked out fine. Gave me a good scare though, thought she was
going to die. Uhm! and I thought I wasn't getting attached.
Baby with fleas09 Aug 2005 19:45 GMT2
I got my new kitty a few days ago and notices fleas this morning and I
am absolutely horrified. I hate creepy crawleys! She is only just over
the 7 weeks so is very young. She is going to the vet for her first
check up tomorrow so I went to the pet shop today and bought "4fleas"
Vacines09 Aug 2005 19:41 GMT10
Remember a while back here there was a discussion
about vacines and cats.    One of the things that was
