Question about cats and appartments12 Aug 2005 08:18 GMT13
I have had several cats for years when i lived with my parents in a
house. I moved away and have lived for 1 1/2 yearsin and appartment,

in appartments.
Why spay your cat?12 Aug 2005 07:36 GMT1
If you are not planning on breeding your purebred cat (and I would not
suggest breeding a non-purebred since there are thousands of them already in
shelters), I would recommend spaying.
Spaying a female cat before their 1st heat will dramatically decrease their
Poll: How often do cats scratch themselves?12 Aug 2005 06:25 GMT5
I'm really wondering about my two kittens: They scratch themselves a lot,
let's say about every 15 minutes. Is that normal?
They can't have fleas, I had them treated. Ear mites: a definite NO! Food
allergy: they get good food, can't really be it. Dry skin: maybe, but I
cat with FIP ?12 Aug 2005 05:37 GMT11
I rescued a cat 3 months ago. I was told she had all her vaccinations and
been neutered. 4 days after bringing her home she got so sick I brought to
vet --cost me $150+...bad upper respiratory infection. 2 weeks ago I brought
back to vet and she diagnosed with FIP--vet said she is
ANother Problem with Bailey, My Tuxedo12 Aug 2005 04:30 GMT6
I get the whole meowing thing at night, hes nocturnal and I should put
something in my bedroom that would keep him busy. But every morning I wake
to find the stuff from my computer desk knocked on the floor by my cat.
Even the mouse is hanging off the desk when I wake up. Why does ...
Drinkwell Water Fountain12 Aug 2005 03:35 GMT1
I took in an old cat that apparently has been drinking water from the faucet
in a tub.  Whenever I go into the bathroom, he jumps into the tub and yowls.
Do you think he would respond to the Drinkwell Water Fountain placed in the
bathroom?
My cat eating enough??12 Aug 2005 03:14 GMT5
I have a pair of 4-year-old sister tabbies, Tiger and Shiloh. They both
tend to be a bit "robust," so I feed them Iams dry for weight control.
They each get 2 ounces twice daily.
Shiloh is a voracious eater and finishes her bowl. Tiger, though, often
Catfood and flies / bees outside.  How not to attract.12 Aug 2005 00:28 GMT3
I have a couple strays that I feed outside and have not been able to catch.  They wait for
me to feed them but will just let me get so close.  I tryed live traps but the neighbors
cats always get in them.  Anyway that is not what I am asking about.
The thing is that during this hot ...

I think Candy is a short haired kitten. Should I start giving her a
hairball prevension remedy like vaseline and if so when should I start
this?
Should vomiting cats skip a meal?11 Aug 2005 21:09 GMT15
I have a cat that visits me and I feed her more or less regularly. Of
course she is not my pet, so I don't control everything she eats.
Today, whlile she was just sitting around and before I could give her
food, she started vomiting. She seemed fine after that and was even
Pros and Cons of 2 Kittens11 Aug 2005 20:48 GMT8
I just got my first kiten a few days ago. She is 7 weeks old and I have
called her Candy. I can't beleive how clean she is because she goes to
her litter tray and even her food doesn't smell (like a dogs can). She
is so little work that I am thinking about getting another girl ...
Congestive heart failure11 Aug 2005 20:45 GMT1
My cat has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and is in congestive heart
failure...she is managing OK at present but has a nasty cough.
Her prognosis isn't good but does anyone have any suggestions that may help
me treat her?
Help with a bully11 Aug 2005 08:11 GMT2
I hope someone can offer good advice for this problem. I've had two
cats for about 8 and 7 years, respectively. A month ago, I agreed to
take in a younger stray male who obviously needed help. He's a
beautiful, personable cat, but he's a bully to my two other girls.
