Sick Cat? Is this normal?17 Aug 2005 18:40 GMT6
We've had our tabby for 3 months and I brought him into the vet for the
second time yesterday for barfing... vet says reason for puking was due to
a sore back (he is VERY playful and likes to chase bugs on our floor to
ceiling window screens-- literally-- and vertically). FYI-- his ...
Dry Food on the Floor17 Aug 2005 14:59 GMT13
I am constantly picking up dry food that falls out of the cat bowl and
onto the floor.  Does anyone know of a bowl designed to help keep the
dry food off the floor? I am forever throwing away food that falls on
the floor.  And am I the only one with messy cats - or is this a common
Human Scratching Post?!?!?17 Aug 2005 14:53 GMT4
Hey all! I believe I have just become my cat's scratching post.  She
normally goes to her post every time she follows me into the kitchen and
does some pawing at it while looking up at me and making a little vocal
noise.  She then goes and paws the fridge to request  her favorite ...

ALBERT: It's Time To Let Him Go...............17 Aug 2005 07:56 GMT22
Tonight I sit down to write a message that, somehow, I knew I was
eventually going to write, even though I have dreaded it: I am
officially abandoning my search for Albert, my beautiful indoor-only
cat, who disappeared from my house on July 16 after my wife left the

Newbie cat owner questions16 Aug 2005 20:48 GMT4
My wife & I recently adopted a 6-year old female "inside the house" cat
from a family friend. She follows me around the house constantly, and
loves it when I pet her. When she is not in-heat, she is generally
good, and usually pees in her litter box or the bathtub, which is
Conjunctivitis16 Aug 2005 03:30 GMT6
We have a 15 month old  spayed female cat we got a couple of weeks ago from
a local shelter.  They warned us URI's are very common in cats newly adopted
from shelters.
I came home from work a few nights ago to hear her sneezing and to see one
Life after the cattery............16 Aug 2005 01:58 GMT2
Just collected my cat from her first stay in a cattery while we were on
a family holiday.  She was there for two weeks, and the cattery owner
told me when I collected her that she was happy to be cuddled, ate well,
but refused point blank to use her litter tray.  Cattery owner ...
Wet Food Vs Dry Food15 Aug 2005 23:00 GMT4
Me and my partner have a bit of a disagreement of cat food. My partner
seems sure she wants the cats on wet food as she says that the dry
food is damaging to the cats kidneys. I, on the other hand, would
prefer dry food as I am sure it has more goodness in then dry food.
please help today15 Aug 2005 21:18 GMT3
My cat was ok till this afternoon. She refused her new diet and the I gave
her her old food and she still did not eat it. The nearest emergency clinic
is 60 miles away. She is salivating from the mouth and is constipated. She
starts to squat for a minute and can not evacuate any ...
How to really block annoying posts15 Aug 2005 17:28 GMT2
I can't get to everyone, to show them what to do, but here's a crash course.
First option: go under message, you should see "block sender." Now if the
guy/girl is an anon you'll want a filter. For that go Tools and "message
rules." That thing is pretty straightforward, it gives ...
Diet Advice15 Aug 2005 15:36 GMT4
All right. My little precious Butterscotch visited the vet last Thursday and
after getting her distemper booster, the vet informed me that she is 20%
overwieght! I always knew she was plump but that upset me.  I don't want her
to get diabetes or anything. She is an indoor kitty ...
MY BLACK CAT CANT TAKE THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY15 Aug 2005 06:26 GMT4
I live in western Pennsylvania and the heat with humidity is tourcorus. She
comes in the house looking withdrawn and her tong hanging out of her mouth
and she sits bye the fan.  During the freezing winters she likes it outside.
I notice other cats outside during the summer. Could ...
