Lately, my cat is shedding profusely. When I pet her, a little less than a
handful of fur falls out. I don't know if the problem is dietary.

Story of our cat's Bank Holiday Sunday30 Aug 2005 08:56 GMT4
I'm feeling SO happy today I just need to share how I feel with some
people that I know will understand!.........Yesterday our darling Bell,
a 2 year old female tabby/white who we adopted from a rescue home in
late April, got lost.
My kitty with FIP29 Aug 2005 07:03 GMT9
Was euthanized tonight.....it was a horrific scene--one I hope to never
witness again. My Tammy is gone and all I can do is cry. She wanted so much
to come home with me and live......not fair she less than 1 yr old. I was
upset at the actual "euthanization" procedure....horrific. ...
Kittly litter box problems28 Aug 2005 21:04 GMT10
I really need some help here. I have just rescued the cutest little kitten,
and I named her Pumpkin. She's around 8-9 weeks, and is a orange-black-white
torbie. When we purchased her a litter box and litter, we put it in the
laundry room, and that's where she goes now. But now, I ...

Request for prayers and purrs for hurricane victims - 4 and 2 legged.  The 4
legged victims often get forgotten about in the rush to help the 2 legged
victims.
Please people do not forget about sending up prayers and purrs that ALL in
Feral, stray, etc., what's the difference?28 Aug 2005 02:26 GMT27
Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between feral and stray,
the two terms I come across now and then?
How do you take an urine sample from a cat?28 Aug 2005 02:18 GMT1
Today the local shelter is having celebrations.
I went and got to talk to a competent lady.
She said to take a urine sample from a cat you just put tissue into the
litter box and then wring it out.
Cats and Raccoons27 Aug 2005 13:56 GMT40
My cat is an indoors/outdoors cat. Ever since winters ended, she has
insisted on sleeping in the porch. She also prefers not to use the
litter-box and like to go outdoors. She has never strayed beyond our
lawn: one neighbor has a loud dog, the other one loud workmen and

Any fabric designed to act as a "hairbrush"27 Aug 2005 01:18 GMT16
I want my cat to avoid hairballs and do try to brush her everyday.
However, it occurred to me that while she resists brushing, she likes
to roll around all the time quite happily, and if a fabric was designed
to remove hair, that would be the best solution?
Kitten has died.26 Aug 2005 23:27 GMT4
My friends kitten has died.  It was 6 weeks old.  It had alot of fleas
,could this have killed it?  Is it true that fleas suck the blood out
of the kittens and kill them?  If so what can be done to treat the
other kittens because they have fleas.

Introducing A New Cat To The Household?26 Aug 2005 05:35 GMT3
We have been thinkikng about getting a companion for our cat, Norton,
who is strictly an indoor cat except for leash walks on occasion.
I saw a picture in the local paper of a cat at the animal shelter who
needs to be adopted who looks just like her and I called.  She is still
Cat spends whole days in our bed!25 Aug 2005 22:33 GMT14
We are inexperienced, with a new cat. She has had quite a few favorite
spots to rest, from an outside chair to various rugs in the house.
Lately she has decided to spend whole days on our bed. Is this harmless
or should we coax her out of this? In other words, should there be an
How to tell...25 Aug 2005 21:47 GMT3
We've got a cat which has been coming to our house for about 10 months
now.  And I'm not sure whether it belongs to a house, or is a wild cat
or not, and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to tell?
When the cat comes to the house, it is always hungry, and will always
