Kittens not growing12 Jul 2005 13:21 GMT28
Hi everyone.  I have a litter of 7  kittens I am fostering.  They are very
inbreed.   They were dropped off and left a pet store by there owner and
were supposedly 8 weeks old.  Long story short I'm on the board of a pet
rescue and ended up fostering the litter.  They were no ...
Traveling with Cats12 Jul 2005 11:45 GMT1
Our two cats will be our "carry on" on a flight from L.A. to NYC. We
have tranquilizers to give them prior to the flight. We have never
done this before so I don't know what to expect. Has anyone had any
experience with pets on a 6 hour flight?

not far from us. Well my heart skipped a beat, "hey you, get home nowwwwww"
Is it a female thing?12 Jul 2005 07:18 GMT14
We have 3 male and 2 female cat ranging in age from 9 months to 13 years.
I've noticed that after eating the males never scratch around their bowls of
food or try to cover it up, but both females do this all the time.  Is this
common/normal behavior between the sexes?
Cat Responds to Whistling12 Jul 2005 06:21 GMT9
I have a sure-fire way of making my cat come to me. She seems to
respond when I whistle constantly for about 15-20 seconds. It's not the
typical whistling that you would call a dog with, it's a high-pitched
constant tone, a bit like one of those whistling kettles. She doesn't
Cats won't use Drinkwell?12 Jul 2005 05:25 GMT12
I ordered a Drinkwell a few days ago and installed it. The cats eye it
with suspicion. How can I get them to use it? I've tried playing the
splash water games, etc., but they don't buy it.
I'm very disappointed; I thought they would like it. But they don't

obsessive self cleaning12 Jul 2005 01:23 GMT12
Sabrina has an issue of obsessively cleaning her self to the point of
licking all her fur off an area down to the skin and peachfuzz.
About a year ago the vet per her on these little pink pills saying the
problem was anxiety related.    Those pills worked, but had me

Bizarre Request11 Jul 2005 22:09 GMT5
I have a website that is making a few quid a month.  This money is not
really going to help me in anyway and is accumulating very slowly in Paypal,
so I'd like to use it to (partly) sponsor a cat.  However, in return, I'd
like pictures (about once a week) of the cat that I ...

ever since I got 16 young cats in my house the problem has been solved. If
you have problem s with vermin or mice cats are the best solution. Mouse

How do I explain...11 Jul 2005 04:25 GMT3
to kitty that it's potentially very dangerous to lay right next to my
desk chair when I'm sitting in it and could at any moment roll right
over her?
That is how do I explain that without giving her a demonstration?
Advice to make life easier for old cat gone deaf & blind - Please read inside.  TIA!10 Jul 2005 03:43 GMT2
We have a 15 year-old calico, in otherwise good health.  About a year
ago, she went deaf, and about a month ago went blind.  Putting her
down is NOT an option.
The vet says she'll adapt better than we will, and so far that's been
