My kitty came and went as she pleased when I lived in Texas, but I just
moved to Northern California and was told that I shouldn't let her roam
outside because there are so many coyotes, foxes, and possibly mountain
lions that come down from the nearby mountain.

I know that most cats are mixed.  But is there a web site or a book
that will walk you through the characteristics of a cat to help
determine what breed (or breeds) a cat is?
