I had to feed the neighbors cat this weekend and he makes the strangest sounds, not quite a meow, he vocalizes in vocal phrase that is spit/purr/eeeuiiii all together, or just a eeeuiiii. Is there something that causes a cat not to meow right? I have some suspicion he may be ...

So I look around and one of the "girlz" has brought in some not-so-fast food, which she drops and proceeds to tell me all about her hunting prowess... meanwhile the "kill", a rather fat'n'juicy field mouse, gets up, shakes itself off and makes a successful escape into another ...

When we first had our lovely cat in late April we were advised to keep her in for 3 weeks to let her get settled in before she was allowed outside. We did this, and so far so good - she now goes out and loves the garden and orchard close by.
