My Neighbors Cat and Weird Meows23 Jun 2005 03:33 GMT9
I had to feed the neighbors cat this weekend and he makes the strangest
sounds, not quite a meow, he vocalizes in vocal phrase that is
spit/purr/eeeuiiii all together, or just a eeeuiiii. Is there something that
causes a cat not to meow right? I have some suspicion he may be ...

New "Pet"22 Jun 2005 12:13 GMT4
So I look around and one of the "girlz" has brought in some not-so-fast
food, which she drops and proceeds to tell me all about her hunting
prowess... meanwhile the "kill", a rather fat'n'juicy field mouse, gets
up, shakes itself off and makes a successful escape into another ...
Cattery22 Jun 2005 12:00 GMT2
When we first had our lovely cat in late April we were advised to keep
her in for 3 weeks to let her get settled in before she was allowed
outside. We did this, and so far so good - she now goes out and loves
the garden and orchard close by.

Well, they had until today to capture the kittie alive, but so far n

For Jason & Holly:22 Jun 2005 01:11 GMT5
Hi, remember when I found that little ugly puppy in the desert? You sent me
info on ACDs which is what she is and it was very helpful.I would never
have known that was what she is. I have a question that I was wondering if
you could help me with. Don't Australian Cattle Dogs bark? ...
Strange meowing or crying???22 Jun 2005 01:08 GMT6
Hi. We have a female cat that is about 9 months old. She has been
fixed. We are just wondering about a toy (item) we let her play with
and the vocal response she makes when she picks it up in her mouth.
The toy is a blue fuzzy ball (kinda like short fur) about 1 inch in
MY PERSIAN RUBBING OFF ON NEW CAT??!22 Jun 2005 01:06 GMT8
We have a beautiful, silver persian-- female. But thats all she is:
something to look at-- when we see her.
In the year we have had her (we rescued her from a bad home-- suspected
she was abused) she has not exhibited one iota of friendliness. She hides
problem with my new kitten21 Jun 2005 21:50 GMT9
Just got this kitten a few days ago and it has learned a kind of
annoying little behaviour. While I am asleep it likes to cuddle up just
beneath my chin and sleep. Very cute. BUT, when it wakes up and decides
it wants to play, it starts to stick it's face into mine and then claw
literbox not being used21 Jun 2005 02:59 GMT2
I have a friend with this problem, (really) my cats do not do this.  She
has two old male cats
and eighteen years.  The sixteen year old urinates
down stairs in the basement.  On the floor on the walls, just about
Cat carriers21 Jun 2005 02:38 GMT4
I got a petmate soft mesh-sided carrier 11"x11.5"x18" (H/W/D).
I only use it for transporting to/from the vet or kennel where she
boards when I'm gone.
As soon as I take it outside with her in it, she starts mewing and
How far can a cat fly ???21 Jun 2005 00:57 GMT3
I'm a scientist doing research on cats and their ability to fly.
I heard that cats can use their tails like a helicopter and fly
several miles while hunting birds.
Is that true or just an urban legend ?
