kitten screensavers or screen toys/programs22 Feb 2005 10:42 GMT5
Hi, I've been looking on the net for a simple screen toy for a kitten I've
just been given. It loves chasing the cursor on the screen, all the time
sitting on my keyboard and occasionally turning the thing off (damn power
key!). Just wondering if anyones come across a screensaver or ...
Spayed female cat sprays22 Feb 2005 10:19 GMT2
I adopted a feral snowshoe siamese from a rescue about 3 years ago. She
had to be trapped, and was spayed there. It took me 3 months to gain her
trust, but she has turned out to be a sweet kitty.
This cat sprays--bad. She sprays every bush and weed outside, and

Update on Freddie the new cat/eating22 Feb 2005 00:52 GMT1
The advice I tried on getting the adopted cat Freddie to eat was to no
avail. After 5 days we took him to the vet. He was given sub-Q fluids and
put on the appetite stimulent cyproheptadine. This calmed him down somewhat
and did get him to eat. 5 days of the medication and we were ...
Cats going outside of boxes21 Feb 2005 21:21 GMT1
I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions about a recent problem that
has developed here.  We have two almost 15-year-old cats - DSH, who are
brother and sister - and they have recently decided to occasionally poop
outside their litter boxes.  When they do do it outside ...
how does your vet handle your cat?21 Feb 2005 21:04 GMT3
A few years ago, after my sweetie and I had been dating for a year or
so, we were talking about his cats.  He mentioned that he has to sedate them
for vet trips because they're so difficult to handle.  I thought whatever, ok.
They were nice, friendly cats so I didn't know why ...
flying cats from Canada to UK21 Feb 2005 10:32 GMT2
I moved back to the UK from Canada a few months ago and am now almost
ready to bring my cats over, having had them vaccinated, etc.  Does
anyone know which airline would be able to fly them over from Winnipeg
to Gatwick or any other London airport?  Any idea of the cost?
cat pee21 Feb 2005 05:34 GMT4
we have two male cats, have had one for 11 years, the second for about 4
years "both fixed"  one  (or both) is sneaking around and peeing on
everything, we find cat pee on anything left on the floor, shoes, slippers,
shirts,  one of them has been peeing on the sofa, we got rid of ...

Bio-thermal microchip18 Feb 2005 21:47 GMT6
Has anyone seen these new microchips?  They cost about £10 more than the
standard ones and take your pets temperature as well so there is no more
need for the rectal thermometer!  I'm absolutely gutted as Kiwi was
neutered and chipped just before they were introduced!  They seem ...
Help - cat keeps licking her back18 Feb 2005 04:22 GMT3
One of the neighbourhood cats has adopted me after I
fed her so I guess I'm responsible for her now.
She keeps licking her back about 3 inches down from
her shoulder blades - dead centre of her spine.

Intro: new to group - not to cats17 Feb 2005 19:51 GMT8
I've been lurking for a couple of days and now decide it's time to introduce
myself.
I'm a UK cat lover and have kept cats for 25 years .. and adored them for
much longer.  My current cats are:
Happy, happy, happy Fleagor16 Feb 2005 21:56 GMT7
Fleagor is not much of a mouser, but he *is* a champion frogger.  The
first frogs of the year were chirping today.  Fleagor came in a few
minutes ago with his feet as wet as they ever get, and he was
ecstatic.  He's been without fresh frog for months, and now his
