For the past week I've been feeding a stray cat and during that time I've sprayed her with flea spray three times but every time I get near the cat some kind of insect must jump off the cat and bites me all over my stomach and sides and

| Odd places the cat likes to go | 14 Jan 2005 13:22 GMT | 10 |
They seem odd to me anyway. One is on top of the dead DVD (Sony DVD players suck!) sitting on top of a box on by my desk. The DVD isn't even plugged in, so it can't be warm. It's not carpeted, so I can't imagine it's any more

I have friends, a couple, who are both severely allergic to most cats. They would adopt if it were practical, but their allergies go nuts the second they even walk into a shelter. They researched the reportedly less-allergenic breeds and visited with

I'm a first time cat owner, and I'm not used to the smell of the food, litter, and the stuff they dump in the litter. Can anyone recommend an air-purifier that eliminated odors? Is hepa better than electrostatic, etc? Dom

| Littermate auto litterbox | 12 Jan 2005 22:54 GMT | 10 |
Does anyone have one of these? Before I spend $150, I'd love to get feedback from someone who has used one for awhile. I have two cats in a small apartment and want to keep the smells down. Will the littermate cut down on catbox smells?

We have 2 female littermates (approx 5 months old) that have always gotten along wonderfully. Playing and eating together, grooming each other etc. Suddenly yesterday, without any provocation, the slightly smaller kitten suddenly hissed, squalled and scratched at the other then ...

| something new in cat shows | 12 Jan 2005 18:29 GMT | 1 |
I went to a TICA cat show (USA) the other day & was amused to see a "cat agility" arena, a fenced (plastic mesh) area containing tunnels, ramps, ladders, & hoops for participating cats to run through. They can get ribbons for this. Half the cats ran outside the tunnels, leaped off ...

I live in a area of townhouses. There is a small group of feral cats that live in the area.I feed them and have a nice place outside for them to shelter. I feel that I want to do more for them but I'm really stumped. First of all, they live in a common area and they are

| Goodbye's are so hard | 11 Jan 2005 23:41 GMT | 5 |
Just wanted to share: my precious little orange cat had a stroke about 2 years ago and has gone steadily downhill since, and very fast over the past couple of months. I decided that, as long as he was still eating, drinking, finding the litterbox and enjoying a little turn around ...
