Any suggestions for almost failing kidneys in 13 yo cat05 Dec 2004 02:44 GMT8
My 13 YO cat is now at the vets with a drip iv.  Waited too long to
take him - his blood chemistry was really awful. It has somewhat
improved since being on a iv drip.  Am bringing him home tomorrow -
will inject him under the skin with Ringer's solution.  The vet is
Unusual markings03 Dec 2004 22:26 GMT2
I am about to adopt a male kitten that has me a bit mystified.  He has
markings like a Siamese, but they are yellow.  Also has blue eyes.  Would he
be some "breed" or anybody have an idea what his mixes might be?  I rescued
him from an elderly neighbour's backyard, and, since I ...
My cat Katz03 Dec 2004 20:12 GMT11
I just had to tell someone.
I had to put my pet cat, Katz, down today.
Everyone should know that she was a good
cat.  And I miss her.  Her name was Katz.
Cat Begs For Food...03 Dec 2004 17:14 GMT16
I have an American Shorthair cat that's quite a character. Everytime I eat he
puts his front paws on my thigh and looks at me longingly. Everytime I open the
fridge he is there, with his paws on the shelf. When I prepare food he stands
on his hind legs with his front paws against ...
Cat Loves Refrigerator03 Dec 2004 14:24 GMT3
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.  Usually when I open the
refrigerator door, Mico sticks his head inside, and I have to push him out.
But three times now, he's gotten the better of me, and wiggled on top of the
last shelf, and gone to the back of the fridge!  It's not ...
Petition: Safer Vaccinations for our Pets03 Dec 2004 13:47 GMT4
A few of my friends and I have been working on a petition to hopefully
make routine vaccinations a little safer for our cats and dogs.  My
friends and I have lost cats to Vaccine Related Cancer.  We are not
anti-vaccination, but Pro-Education.  We feel that all pet owners
drippy cat with tounge out...02 Dec 2004 22:09 GMT3
I just rescued a purebred persian cat.  He is 5 years old and is as sweet as
can be.  He has an "extreme" face - that is, his nose is right between his
eyes and he has no muzzle to speak of - instead of a muzzle, he has a dent!
Anyhow, I have noticed he has very drippy eyes and ...
Moving cats across the country?02 Dec 2004 20:57 GMT7
We're moving from Washington, D.C. to Oregon. We have two cats (both
around 15 years old). We're wondering how we're going to transport
them. It's just my wife and I, and we were thinking of driving across
the country. But I can't see two cats on a road trip for a week. Or,

2 mo kitten02 Dec 2004 11:34 GMT2
Hello all --
I may be about to adopt or foster a little two month old kitten whose mama
won't let him nurse.  (I'll find out tomorrow).
Can any of you give me some ideas of what his needs might be?
Re: Sensitive to the touch cats02 Dec 2004 11:28 GMT3
Lost the original thread on this subject.  My cat is sensitive to the touch
on her back near the tail. A few of us are wondering what might be causing
them to lick like crazy when touched back there.  I called the vet and they
said to bring the cat in, said that they get skin ...
Poor Sweet Cat02 Dec 2004 03:12 GMT5
When I saw this Poor Sweet Cat walking toward me over the
frozen fields and crying his little cries I knew I had to give him
some food and affection and he is a Very Sweet Cat.
Little Cat Cries just tear me up.
