cats outside at night16 Dec 2004 19:37 GMT8
Are cat's coats thick enough to keep them warm outside at night
(temperature in the 45 degree range)? How about inside an unheated
garage?
cross-country move with cat--help!16 Dec 2004 19:29 GMT3
I'm moving from NYC to Oregon in about a month. Background: I'm a single
mom with a 15-month-old (and a cat). Can't pay my bills in NYC, so I'm
moving west to stay with family. Just to complicate things, my mother's in
hospice in Virginia, so I'm probably going to have to leave from ...
Cat Pooping In Bed...16 Dec 2004 02:43 GMT4
Can someone tell me why a neutered well behaved male cat with access to the
outside all day, and a clean litter box would all of a sudden defecate on a bed
he sleeps on? He usually naps on my mother's bed during the day, and twice now
he has pooped right in the middle of it. How do ...
computer kitten15 Dec 2004 22:44 GMT6
My kitten has just discovered the cursor on the computer screen!  Better
not tell my husband that i have been encouraging him to scratch
frantically with both paws on his new computer!  Fun though!
Cat Doors, Good & Bad15 Dec 2004 17:11 GMT15
I might need to install a cat door in my basement door shortly. Haven't
shopped yet. If you've owned one that you've either loved or hated, I'd like
to know about it.
To keep the thread simple, let's stomp on two ideas:
Advantage mode of action15 Dec 2004 12:14 GMT14
How do the topical anti flea products like Advantage work?
Do they get absorbed through the skin or distributed over the fur?

Laser15 Dec 2004 10:43 GMT5
I got this new laser pointer to get my cat to get some
exercise.   How do I get my cat to get up and
move?  She just sits there like she is saying
"yeah....go and chase after it yourself.?"
ADD kids and cats15 Dec 2004 10:37 GMT31
I had taken my passive cat Ralph to meet my nephew, my sis in law had said
that for the next few hours, he was as happy as could be. I have made an
arrangement with a local rescue shelter for Monday to get him a cat (not
kitten) perhaps this may help his situation.
Comfortable household temperature for cats?15 Dec 2004 05:26 GMT7
We recently moved and we now have a programmable thermostat for our
house and are wondering how cool we can keep it in winter without the
cats freezing.  When we're home, it is set around 68-70 degrees.  We
originally had it set for 62 during the day but my wife came home from
radio controlled toy?14 Dec 2004 01:20 GMT5
I know they are potentially intimidating, I have tried once before.
What I would like to know is whether anyone has had continued success
using a radio controlled vehicle to amuse their cat? (perhaps with a
string or whatever tied to the vehicle).

Please help!13 Dec 2004 04:02 GMT8
I have an outdoor cat I've had for about 5 years. I noticed a few weeks ago
that he had a place on him that looked like an injury. First of all, this
cat is semi-wild. I can pet him sometimes when feeding, but that's about it.
I noticed yesterday that he has more places on him. I ...
Cat's strange tastes!12 Dec 2004 23:49 GMT6
Cats have many peculariar behaviors, but I recently discovered one that's
really hard to explain. My cat is an adopted stray, he usually spends the
night out (he's used to living outdoors), but as the cold winter nights are
now upon us, he often stays indoors. Last night, as I was ...
REALLY large cat breeds?12 Dec 2004 14:48 GMT1
A co-worker of mine told me today that his friend had a 47-lb
cat.  Apparently, he says this breed (which he can't remember)
normally grow to be very large.
Does anyone know which breeds of cats become LARGE?
