| hyperactive cat | 29 Dec 2004 00:27 GMT | 2 |
I have a kitten named Athena who is about 1 year old. (I'm not sure the exact age) She is extremely active. For the last four or five days I've been playing with her for two 20 to 30 minute durations each day. Today she ran all over the house constantly despite all the play I did

| my poor kitty :( | 28 Dec 2004 23:41 GMT | 31 |
I came home this morning, called out for my 13th month old only to eventually find her sitting by my door waiting for me (which, although not totally suprising, was unusual). When I opened the door, she *slowly* walked in the room and *slowly* sat down on the floor looking away ...

I have a 19 3/4 yr old spayed male named Smokey. He is deaf and has been on methimazole for about 3 years now. He has gone from a lifelong weight of 11 - 12 pounds to a pretty consistent 5 1/4 - 5 1/2 lbs. He gets 1/2 can of food in the morning and always has full bowl

| Solid colors ore tigers? | 28 Dec 2004 11:25 GMT | 1 |
I remember many years ago someone telling me that all solid color cats were Tiger striped cats eg; Black with black stripes, white with white stripes, etc. Any truth to this? I had a solid black male once and could see texture differences in his coat in sunlight that looked ...

| My kitty calmed down! | 27 Dec 2004 21:53 GMT | 3 |
I think I figured out what was causing my kittens late night hyperactivity. It seems some of the toys I bought are "catnip enhanced" or something. Well I took those toys away for now, and he is MUCH calmer. Sure, he still gets little wild spells, but at least he isn't literally

| RagaMuffin? | 27 Dec 2004 05:20 GMT | 6 |
About four years ago a neighbor brought me a little calico stray she found in her yard. The kitten was clean and friendly and appeared healthy. I was reluctant to take her to the pound so I set up quarters for her

Hi! I am new to the group and I have 6 cats in my home. We went to my parents on Christmas day and when we returned my oldest, Patches (6), had a horrible injury on his nose. Not a lot of blood but the middle of his nose between the nostrils looks like it's just had a big chunk

| Infrared eyesight | 26 Dec 2004 22:50 GMT | 4 |
Can cats see in the infrared spectrum?? I'm thinking of putting a camera and an IR-light in an enclosed area where Felix often hides but I don't want to put a (for him) visible light right in he's eyes.
