| Increased drinking and urine production | 26 Nov 2004 14:33 GMT | 2 |
Our 13 year old, large but overweight cat has increased her water intake and consequent urine production of late. She is healthy and in good spirits and other than that, no different than ever (other than the inevitable slowing down that comes with age.) Haven't called the vet ...

| Basic Cat Care Questions | 26 Nov 2004 01:08 GMT | 8 |
I always had a cat from as far back as I can remember, till I went to university. After that I had no pets for many years, then I had a dog for 18 years. I had to put the dog down recently, and my present situation will not allow me to properly care for a dog.

| cat chirping | 26 Nov 2004 00:58 GMT | 8 |
I just got two male kittens only 10 wks old, and they are very vocal with each other. I hear them make the usual cat purrs and meows, but I also have heard them making a rolling chirpping sound or something close to that. I would appreciate any feedback on this type of noise, and

| automatic litterboxes | 25 Nov 2004 13:53 GMT | 10 |
I was wondering what your experiences with automatic (self-cleaning) litterboxes was. Which one do you think is the best? I have two cats and the Littermaid Mega lasted five months before totally dying. Anyone have any luck with the expensive LitterRobot?

I have 2 x 8 y/o cats (brothers) One has developed a strange behaviour: When I stroke him on his back he gets a compulsive need to lick his body. It is so bad that the instant I touch his middle to rear spine he goes ape

| What to do - cat needs to be outdoors but I have anal neighbors | 25 Nov 2004 07:08 GMT | 14 |
I have a cat who loves to be outdoors. I have a neighbor who says my cat gets on his truck and ruins the finish. Never mind the fact that there are other cats in the neighborhood and that the neighbor has a garage, but chooses not to park his truck in it.

| Cats and birds | 24 Nov 2004 22:50 GMT | 4 |
I used to love feeding birds. But Bert has been known to bring home bird pieces...yeah, he goes out. Anyone figured out how to feed birds safely with cats?

| The cat that Darwin forgot... | 24 Nov 2004 14:09 GMT | 3 |
My parent's cat is a bit thick. He continually does supremely stupid things that endanger his life and health. For example, he has a tendency to jump on stove, and I am worried about him burning his paws (he actually has burnt his paws more than once). He continually 'calls' the ...

| Greedy cat | 24 Nov 2004 00:52 GMT | 3 |
I have two cats. One is a female and a normal weight. One is a neutered male and is getting tubby. He seems to eat about 3 times the recommended amount of cat food he should be eating. I feed them both dry and wet cat food. The female seems to prefer the wet food, whilst the male ...

| Cats = gods? | 24 Nov 2004 00:04 GMT | 7 |
Just curious.. I asked a question the other day and it seems I can't step a foot right. I thought I was pretty good to my cats. I spent thousands on an enclosure so they can play outside safely and not harm birds.

| Kitty Warmer | 23 Nov 2004 15:53 GMT | 1 |
FWIW, my cat is very happy that I bought her an electrically warmed pet bed. If your place gets cool in the winter and you've got a heat-seeking cat (some cats are and some aren't), you might want one of these. (You can tell a heat-seeking cat because he's a seasonal lap cat; ...
