TOOTH PROBLEM20 Sep 2004 16:57 GMT11
My cat who is now 16 yrs old, has a black canine and it is loose, obviously
severley infected and dead.  I noticed the front of her face is swollen and
her eye above the tooth is weeping quite a bit.  I am fearful of two
things - the vet saying she would have to be put down, and the ...
Cat fleas20 Sep 2004 14:10 GMT2
I think one of my cats have fleas.  I guess if one has fleas the other
must have too.  I found some tiny black speck in the fur.  It is easy to see
because my cats are white.  Now I wonder what shall I do.  I will call the
vet tomorrow and I guess she will treat my cats ...

I have a 3 month old kitten that is strictly a house cat. She has been
checked by the vet and found no fleas. Even gave her Advantage. Now, I'm
finding fleas in the house and tonight, I've seen 3 on the cat. Where are
they coming from? We've never had fleas before, we've been here 2 ...
Good Games and Cheap Toys20 Sep 2004 08:12 GMT2
I've found with my hairballs that if I spend a lot of money on a toy,
it's not worth playing with.  But if it's FREE and simple?..they love
it.  The best toys in this house are rubber bands (that I take away
when I'm out of sight), Qtips (that I take away when I'm out of
Good Games Last Forever20 Sep 2004 05:42 GMT1
Over the years Isis, my 6 year old long-haired Tabby, has been mildly
interested in flashy toys but she soon tires of the experience. There's one
game, though, that has never lost its appeal. I call it "Slime".
She hops up on my desk and sticks her face in the rubber band box. She ...
cats and diabetes20 Sep 2004 04:43 GMT10
I'm hoping someone with a diabetic cat can help me out.
My 14 year old male cat recently lost weight and began drinking extreme amounts
of water.  The vet's blood test showed high glucose, and the diagnosis was
diabetes.  Ten days ago I started him on insulin shots, but he hasn't ...

How do I feed my obese cat?19 Sep 2004 20:16 GMT12
We have a 12 year old female, two 4 month old male kittens, and a 6 year
old male who is obese.
We know that his diet needs to be controlled, but haven't figured out how
to control his eating while insuring that our female and our kittens get

Neutered cat kneading; Questions...19 Sep 2004 17:49 GMT3
I recently adopted a 2 year old tabby mix from the local Animal Rescue
League.  He is a great little guy and is fitting in well with my four
year old tabby male.
I noticed the other night as he was getting ready to bed down that he
Russian Blue19 Sep 2004 17:31 GMT2
We have a Russian Blue, 6 months old. First question is, how do we tell
wether the Ginger Tom from across the road has got to her? and secondly, we
have noticed that she has feelers on the rear of her front legs, just above
the first joint, is this normal?
Cat chronically peeing and pooping on carpet while I was on vacation - help19 Sep 2004 09:56 GMT2
We came back from a 13 day honeymoon to find out one of our cats (both
female, neutered) had repeated peed and pooped on a section of carpet in
a corner of the room over a course of a week or more. I need help with
two things:
Why would he do this?19 Sep 2004 00:40 GMT11
I was showing my 2 year male some affection by patting him when all of a

and bit my forehead and  at the same time??
Now this is the first time he has done anything like this so I was quite
