FIV question27 Aug 2004 17:18 GMT1
My cat tested positive early this week for FIV.  Marked lethargy and
fever (his head felt warm) were the symptoms that prompted his visit
to the vet.  The doctors have so far been unable to find an underlying
cause for the fever, which has abated (101.5 yesterday).

loudly, and we don't know what to do...websites have said it could be
stress, (I think he misses hubby, but he also does it when hubby is ...

Moving home with 2 cats27 Aug 2004 11:28 GMT8
We have 2 cats (pictures here! http://wtl.smugmug.com/gallery/38742/)
and are thinking of moving house.
This is going to sound ridiculous, but we're worried about how the cats
will react!  They'll be 7 (maybe 8) in September, and are part of the
The Rainbow Bridge27 Aug 2004 04:35 GMT1
What happens to your pets if you go to hell? Seems a rough deal for
them if they wait patiently at the Rainbow Bridge then have to spend
eternity in flames because of the bad conduct of their guardians.
Mystery spot27 Aug 2004 03:51 GMT3
We have two unrelated cats who are a little over three years old, male and
a female.  Ever since they were kittens they have both been obsessed with
this one particular spot in the bathtub.  The spot is about six inches
southwest of the drain.  To us, it doesn't look or feel any ...
Prayers Needed27 Aug 2004 00:47 GMT5
A good friend of mine who is a great cat lover and cat rescuer has suffered
a brain aneurysm.   This woman has saved more cats than anyone I know.  It
is impossible to describe her goodness.  I was hoping you guys could just
send positive energy, prayers, whatever, her way.  Thanks.
neighbours cat messing in our garden.27 Aug 2004 00:28 GMT15
Hi, Here in London u.k., people allow their cats out, and of course they
roam into other peoples' gardens. Our immediate neighbour has just acquired
a new kitten.
We have been told by someone that we should 'introduce' the cat to our

Can I leave my 3 year old cat alone at home for two weeks? I would leave 10
bowls of dry food and water.

teaching kittens to cover poop26 Aug 2004 15:19 GMT5
I have just adopted 2 beautiful 8 week old kittens, who are settling in
well. They are using the litter tray, but they never seem to manage to
cover over their poop with litter, although they do try, but tend to
send the litter in a random direction. This is quite smelly so it ...
diarrhoea??26 Aug 2004 13:00 GMT7
My cat is now about 3 months old , I've just bought it home for 2 weeks.
The cat is playful and very lovely, however, the problem is that it has
quite frequent bowel opens per day, about 7-8 times.
The stool is not watery but quite soft, the cat don't show any signs of
