Picked up a 4-month old Tortie from an animal shelter yesterday.
Unfortunately, there has been commotion in the house (new carpet in 3
rooms).  We have another adult Tortie in the house.  My problem is that she
has been pretty much hiding out.  hasn't eaten at all (one full day) and

I just got a new kitty from the shelter.  It's the first new kitty I've
had in nearly 20 years.  I have a venerable old kitty who found me as a
kitten.  He's gone to live with my S.O. 1,000 miles away (for very good
reasons all having to do with him, not with us, and I miss him ...

I am a new person posting here, and I desperately need your help.
