For the past few months or so, I've had the pleasure of having five

mother is gray w/ brown stripes & dots and was responsible for moving
animal cruelty27 Jun 2004 00:09 GMT1
To animal lovers,
I am concerned about the way our animal cruelty laws are concerning all
animals and especially dogs. In my opinion dogs are no different to a small
child. They love they feel and they bond. I think people who hurt dogs
Water for the cat26 Jun 2004 16:43 GMT8
I have a cat that I have a  difficult time getting to drink water.  She only
drinks out of the bath tub with running water.  I can fill her water dish
and she wont even touch it.  I bought a cat waterer with the flowing water,
she wouldn't drink from that either.  Any suggestions?

I have had "Meggy" for about two years (since she was abandoned at 10

Three months ago a stray male cat about 6 months old came by and I

Regretfully we lost Duchess due to old age (kidney failure...) and
elected to have her euthanized recently.
We live on acreage in the country so I burried her nearby.
But in so doing I'm curious if there are any do's or don'ts w/ respect

Skin raw between  paws26 Jun 2004 01:36 GMT3
We have 2 1 year old cat cats. Patches, the neutered female, has a
reoccuring problem. The skin between the pads on the feet gets raw. The
first time (the left front foot) the vet gave us steroids and an antibiotic
which cleared it up. The next time (again left front) I cleaned it ...

They have been housemates all their lives.  We have 2 males and 1 female all
neutered and spayed all around 5- 7 years old.  They have always gotten
along.
New kitten - help26 Jun 2004 01:31 GMT5
My SO and I recently recived a cat. It's a 7 month old neuterd male.
The problem I'm running into is that I work evenings and late nights,
and need to sleep in the morning. Of course a kitten would never let
this happen.
fur matting26 Jun 2004 01:25 GMT1
I have a long hair cat and she has been getting some matting with age.
Usually I can snip it out with surgical scissors but in some aresa the
matting has gone beyond using the scissors. Can I shave the areas with
a trimmer or is this too drastic? Are there other solutions?  Thanks

Is there any real way to get a cat to quit throwing up?25 Jun 2004 08:21 GMT3
Is this just something that all cats do?  Even in the wild?  We have a
dearly loved long-haired cat who is brushed and combed and taken for a
walk in the country on a leash every day.  While she's on the walk she
eats lots of grass.  We also feed her a cat food that is supposed to

I'm moving from my apt to another place across town in a week and
