I already have a cat, she's 9 month old....she's a very good cat, she loves everybody, she's very affectionate and very social. I want a second cat, but I'm not sure if I should have another female or a male. I don't want my cat "to mate"...... I just want a friend for Mimine.

My 16 year old cat suddenly has scabs under his chin, doesn't seem to hurt his eating but looks terrible. Any idea on what could be causing this would be appreciated.

I have been told that a UV light will make cat urine glow in the dark. I have tried to use a UV lamp to locate areas that my wife's cat has "marked" but I don't see any glowing results even when I turn the lamp on a book with cat urine stains that can be seen in normal daylight. ...

We've decided, as far as Elijah's concerned, to keep him for the moment. The vet said almost all cats can and are happy kept indoors, but if Elijah's not one of them, he'll go to my sisters in Kent, where he can come and go.
