| How can know a cat's age? | 18 Mar 2004 05:17 GMT | 1 |
We have two cats. One is about 11 months old and the other one was recently adopted from my friend's home. We were told that the new comer is 1 years old. However his manner looks so different from our kitten. He is a strong and huge guy

| Why did you pick a cat over a dog? | 17 Mar 2004 06:32 GMT | 91 |
I'm curious what made you choose cats over dogs? I prefer cats because I don't have to bathe them every so often. I also like how I don't have to walk them (dogs love to get their paws all dirty and roll around in gunk). Cats are usually smaller, and therefore eat less

| An "alone" cat - how to tell? | 17 Mar 2004 03:18 GMT | 7 |
I have a cat that for about the last 3 weeks now, has been pooping normally in the litterbox, but she now pees anywhere but in the litterbox. My vet says my female kitty is probably seeing other cats and is marking her territory. Well, she can only see in the back & side ...

| Where my cat is now? (My mother is so jealous!) | 17 Mar 2004 02:22 GMT | 2 |
As she usually does when I'm at the computer my cat will come and check on me every once in a while which she did tonight so I thought she went off to my bed BUT I hear a little noise and I look and she is RIGHT besides me under the sewing machine table that I'm resting my elbow on!

| Self-cleaning litter boxes? | 17 Mar 2004 01:37 GMT | 21 |
Do these really work? I have two cats and have our litter box in a 4'x4' mud room with just a cat door for the cats. When you open the door to go to the garage sometimes it is unbearable. Wondering if one of these would work for

| Are Hartz Flea Drops Anygood??? | 16 Mar 2004 11:45 GMT | 5 |
The warm weather will soon be coming and flea and tick season will be upon us once again. I am the proud owner of 2 one year old cats ( 1 male, 1 female ). Last year, I adopted the 2 cats who are brother and sister and who were left as strays in a cardboard box on a boating dock.

| Two Male Cats (Young and Old) Help | 16 Mar 2004 04:05 GMT | 5 |
I have a 13 year old male cat that has been neutered and another male cat thats only about 7 months old and not neutered yet. The young cat (kitten) is always attacking the older cat and it doesn't look like playtime either. His eyes literally turn red and he goes for the neck. ...

| will my cat starve to death? | 16 Mar 2004 04:00 GMT | 4 |
My cat just got over a urinary tract episode and the Vet gave her a prescription cat food to eat. The cat refuses to eat the food. The Vet told me to try phasing it in by mixing it with the old cat food. No dice. My cat works around every morsel and touches none of the ...

| Tracking Devices for Cats? | 16 Mar 2004 01:10 GMT | 9 |
Is there a such thing, and just how expensive are they? The reason I ask is because I have a problem with my two cats running off for days or even weeks, at a time. I adopted them as strays, and since they're used to living outside, that is where they spend most of their time ...

| Cats Scratching at New Rug | 15 Mar 2004 11:05 GMT | 2 |
We have two one year old occicats, and a brand new living room rug. They scratched at the old living room rug, but I guess it was made in a way that it didn't pull, or damage. The new one, well, let's just say it responds to the cat's scratching

| Fire Dept doesn't help Cats | 15 Mar 2004 05:32 GMT | 13 |
Firemen coming out to rescue a cat stuck in a tree appears to only be something that happens in the movies and on TV. I am resident of Coats, NC. On Sunday evening 2-29-04 I found that my cat had climbed to the top of tree. On Monday morning my cat was still in the tree

Hi All... I'm new to the group... Last night, I donwloaded some bagpipe music off the 'net, and played it. WHOA MAN, she pricked right up and was looking around, ears back and sort of hunched down like she was afraid something might happen to

| ...help... | 15 Mar 2004 02:44 GMT | 5 |
We've got this stray from the cat rescue people since about one month. She's settling in really well, she gets on well with dog and other cat, goes outside and comes back, uses the litter box, comes when called (shy though). Everything is perfect. But this awful diarrhoea! What can ...
