Chartreux information needed.23 Mar 2004 10:26 GMT2
I am planning to get a Chartreux cat. A rare breed. Does anyone have
opinions or stories about owning a Chartreux? Are they as wonderful a cat as
they seem, or are there downsides I am not seeing? All info and stories
would be appreciated.
Mother cats dismay23 Mar 2004 09:52 GMT2
The love of our lives, Drucilla a female Bombay mix, had kittens about 10
weeks ago. Yesterday the kittens went off to their new homes and Dru of
course is confused. She continually searches for them and caterwauls trying
to call them. She is still eating, drinking and using the ...
Chicken freak23 Mar 2004 09:02 GMT1
My cat goes nuts for chicken, any form.
alergies and cats ....23 Mar 2004 08:53 GMT6
I grew up with cats and would like to get another one now.  My children are
alergic to cats ( tho it seems).  Their eyes get puffy and red rather badly.
Is there anything I can do so that they may be able to be around a cat.  (
like shampoo for the cat or something in that area)
Cats and boxes23 Mar 2004 06:56 GMT12
My wife got a new pair of shoes at the weekend, and as usual her cat
Gizmo went and tried to sit in the box the shoes came in. Not only did
it manage to get in (small box, big cat :-) but promptly fell asleep in
it. Next day of course the box was ignored. Why do they always get ...

Recommendations?23 Mar 2004 00:58 GMT3
Does anyone know of any really good books that teach both adults and
children about owning cats and kittens? We are going to get 2 kittens but I
want to make sure we are all know a good bit about looking after them first.
Your Recommendations? Thanks everyone.
SO Angry!22 Mar 2004 22:05 GMT62
Okay. So I get home from work today, looking forward to having a functioning
kitchen light for the first time in a couple of months. I was a little
confused because it was a ceiling fan, not a replacement of the fluorescent
thing that had been up there. And then I looked around and ...

Friends of mine have a 17 year old strictly indoors cat.
Now she's recently started meowing in the night. Wonder why? All doors are
open, food is available.

Sleeping positions22 Mar 2004 21:22 GMT6
We've all seen our cats sleeping in weird positions.
Sitting almost upright leaning against a pillow, laying
on it's back with feet in the air or my favorite, on her
side cuddling a favorite toy.
Q:  Vegetarian diet possible with cats?22 Mar 2004 18:13 GMT68
I was wondering if anyone has their companion animals on a vegetarian diet.
I've been a strict vegetarian for seven years and have had no problems and
no cravings.  Is it possible for my cat to be a vegetarian as well?  I've
always been hesitant since cats are strict carnivores.  ...
Stop scratching before declawing22 Mar 2004 14:52 GMT12
Okay, I'd like to follow the current trend and not have my indoor only
kittens (2) declawed. They have a nice scratching post that they both use
when they are near it. However if they are anywhere else in the house, they
find the carpet, side of a couch/chair, just as comfortable to ...
Female kitty pees everywhere21 Mar 2004 17:08 GMT4
Okay, not really everywhere.  Just in the dining room (next to the
sliding patio door).  She (now 2 yrs old) still poops in the litter box,
just pees everywhere else.  When I took her to the vet, she told me kitty
didn't have UTI, but has crystals, and recommended Friskies ...
