Help, my cats poop is burning my nose hairs08 Feb 2004 09:48 GMT13
I have my cat box in our 4' x 4' mud room that has a cat door.
I can clean it out, my cat can go once and it will stink up the whole
house.  Forget about going through the mud room to the garage.  You
better hold you breath.
Saving furniture .... like a true cheapskate.08 Feb 2004 08:41 GMT4
Made my own cat scratcher yesterday.
Wrapped a 30" x 9" plank of wood in carpet, hessian-side up and fixed it
with nails.
Left it in a corner and the cat LOVES it.
Clucky passed on today...08 Feb 2004 05:28 GMT10
Well...
The pneumonia was secondary to cancer, and both vets simply couldn't see
it on the x-ray because of the fluid.  He  had one decent week back at
home, then the fluid started building up this past monday, and he was in
Cat flap08 Feb 2004 01:53 GMT9
I have bought a cat from the RSPCA, and having been kept in for a month and
neutered she is now able to go outside. I have just installed a cat flap in
the kitchen door, but she doesn't seem keen to use it. She'll come to the
dining room doors instead and meow alot. She doesn't seem ...
Cat Mating??08 Feb 2004 00:28 GMT1
I am so confused, I don't know much about cat mating rituals.
Is there anyone that can tell me the whole process of this situation.
The reason behind all my confusion, is that I had both of my cats fixed at 8
months old (I think).
Odd cat toys07 Feb 2004 23:53 GMT17
Forget buying those expensive cat toys, give your cats some cotton
balls.  My cats love playing with them.  My big fat cat also loves to
play with the shadows on the wall, and laser pointers.  Q-tips are
also a hit at my house.
Suggestions newly adopted cat07 Feb 2004 20:42 GMT7
Recently adopted a half grown cat-stray found by a friend-and this
half grown female cat is now chasing and attacking my 10 YO male who
was declawed by his previous owner.
I kept them apart for the first few days and they have been getting
Liver Problems?07 Feb 2004 20:36 GMT2
I adopted another cat (#4) last week from a local animal control facility.
She is a lovely Himalayan mix. Part of the adoption agreement was I had to
take her to "their" vet to be fixed. I was a little nervous about this and
was willing to pay to have her taken to my vet but they ...

Is Declawing a common thing where you live?07 Feb 2004 17:35 GMT12
As I've read through this newsgroup over the last few weeks I have been
amazed at the number of people who have said they have got their pets from
an animal shelter and they were already declawed.  For those people who have
said it, is declawing really common in your part of the ...
Novolin insulin?07 Feb 2004 15:08 GMT7
I have a diabetic cat who has been getting 2 shots a day for 8 years.  He has
always been getting the humulin insulin but the pharmacist mentioned using
Novolin which seems to be much cheaper.  My vet said it is ok to switch but I am
still a little nervous because my cat has done ...
Experience with Maine Coons07 Feb 2004 14:27 GMT4
As we are getting two MC kittens I was wondering about whether it makes
a difference if they are the same sex. We have pretty much decided on
one male of the horde.
If anyone has an interesting story about their Maine Coons and how they

New here - Tasha died today07 Feb 2004 02:32 GMT32
I don't know if this is an appropriate place to talk about this, ,,, Tasha
died today. A week ago I had no idea anything was wrong. She had apparently
been getting skinny so slowly that I didn't notice right a way.Noticed
Thursday and got her to the vet Friday. Drained  a lot of ...
