electronic tags19 Jan 2004 23:18 GMT3
Hi, this may have come up before, apologies if it has.
We wondered if there was such a thing as an electronic tag to fit on collar
which can be used to trace the location of your cat.
(Something like the gadget that beeps when looking for your keys.)
Scratching Posts19 Jan 2004 22:13 GMT13
Does any one have links to places (esp with pics) where they built their own scratching posts for
there or someone else's cat?  I'm not looking for store built ones but ones that people designed
and loving made on their own.  I'm working on building one myself and just thought it ...
What is the worst thing you ever done to your furbabies ??19 Jan 2004 19:06 GMT25
What is the worst thing you ever done to your furbabies?
I just did something that made me feel so bad that if their was
anything I could do to undo it I would but ------
I posted a while back about cats putting things in the water dish.
Preschooler and death of our kitty19 Jan 2004 07:16 GMT8
The time has come to put our much loved kitty Josie into heaven.  I am
very concerned about my 2 1/2 yr old and how she is going to handle
this.  I know she does not understand the concept of death yet, so I am
wondering how much of this process we should involve her in.  She ...
Perplexing Behavior #43719 Jan 2004 07:10 GMT9
Isis does many things which perplex me. One that always makes me crazy is
when she lies on her back, looks at me, and makes funny noises.
I know I am upside down to her at this point. Her eyes get glazey and I
believe she is in a yogic trance of some sort.
cat fur19 Jan 2004 07:01 GMT32
Isn't cat fur annoying?  Anyone else get the stuff up their nose and just
can't get rid of it.  And when you have more than one cat in the house you
sometimes end up with clumps of it all over your home?  I sometimes wake up
with clumps of white fur all the way down the hallway.  ...

How much to feed 10lb cat?19 Jan 2004 01:27 GMT1
When I started taking care of Catty, now about 12 yrs old, I fed him a
can of Friskies a day and left dry food on the floor for him at all
times. This year he had all his molars pulled out (cost me a fortune).
Now he can't eat that hard dry food, and shows no interest in it if I
Little things you do to protect your cat19 Jan 2004 00:24 GMT13
I thought we'd start a thread telling about little things we do to protect
our cats. I was reading the thread "What is the worst thing you ever done to
your furbabies?" and realised that people do little things that are so
important and we often don;t think about, and can save their ...
Can domestic cats interbreed with wildcats?18 Jan 2004 21:25 GMT6
I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia in an area near
Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Forest.
The area is a known natural habitat for wildcats.  I haven't seen
one around here yet.  This evening I just heard a very loud and
Help for cat in cage...18 Jan 2004 21:12 GMT4
I wrote earlier about stray FElV+ Big Boy for whom I'm looking for a home.
In the meantime, he is confined to my bathroom or a big dog kennel I
borrowed.  Problem is that he is now meowing almost constantly--I know he
wants to get out but I can't let him because of my own cats.. ...
In need of grooming strategy...............18 Jan 2004 03:34 GMT1
I acquired, rescued, a Himalayan cat.  At the time he was almost dead from lack of food (It's obvious now that he was a show cat and didn't have a clue how to hunt). He had absesses and ticks and foxtails (I live in the mountains)and very little fur. (God knows how a show cat got ...
Sebastian18 Jan 2004 01:32 GMT6
Sebastian took up a new hobby: getting himself beat up by larger feral
toms.  He also took up attacking his house mates.
The problem seems to be that he wants to be alpha cat but Fleagor
won't yield the position, and won't fight him either.
