N E W   Y O R K, Nov. 25 - Lucky the cat's luck looked like it was running
out when his owners moved away and left him alone to fend for himself on the
streets of New York.
New Kitten26 Nov 2003 01:53 GMT5
A coworker of my wife is going to give us a kitten. she says that it is
eating solid food on its own and that we could have it any time. I am told
that it is only 5-6 weeks old. Is this too young to be given to us and taken
away from it's mother?

I tried looking for it on the site, but the closest I came to it was
this item, and it was a little bit more than what you paid for it:

Ripped off by the Science Diet Advanced Protection rebate pet food24 Nov 2003 19:16 GMT2
I just wanted to warn all to be careful about buying the Science Diet
Advanced Protection pet food to get the $9 rebate (free after).  Hill's Pet
Nutrition sent me my rebate back saying they had to return my submission
because the incorrect UPC proof of purchase symbol(s) was ...

Anyone (UK) know of a cat cradle I can get to hang around my neck to carry
cat in when I am wandering around in the home?
She loves being picked up but it's difficult when I doing other things so
thought if something like this existed (like you have for babies) I could
Argh!24 Nov 2003 16:35 GMT4
Cute little Ceili, the fourteen year old stray with the heart murmer,
almost took my face off last night with a double pawed swipe!  My arms are
covered with scratches and even a "never going away" scar from where she
bit me.  Through it all she purrs contentedly.  I love it, what a ...

Will Lion dung keep away coyotes?23 Nov 2003 06:46 GMT7
I lost 1 cat (9 year old feral orange tabby) to coyotes last week.  I
have 2 other cats.  I always bring my cats into the house before
nightfall.  But that feral cat stayed out 1/2 hour longer, now she is
gone.  My neighbor saw 3 coyotes in his backyard right at that same time

Kittens and Cat toys23 Nov 2003 01:47 GMT6
I learned something about cat toys today, something you
all probably already knew.  Kittens should not play
with any toy that has a string attached!  Sasha (my
2 year old) has one of those cat fishing toys.  The little

Our new young cat (6 mths) is not eating except  _very_ expensive dried beef
which we rarely get for ourselves, he has taste, the little guy :-)
I don't want to feed him too many treats or fancy food so that he does not

***Imuran killed my cat!22 Nov 2003 22:11 GMT1
Approximately 2 months ago, my cat, Luther, a sweet gray tabby, went
to the vet and was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. He was
placed on prednisone and Imuran for this. I, foolishly, trusted the
vet and did not research the drugs being administered.  The IBD seemed

Cat doesn't eat22 Nov 2003 11:37 GMT3
The new 6 month old cat we got from the shelter last week is turning into a
real darling, but he just won't eat.
What should I do? He eats about 25g/1oz of canned food per day, that's it.
Once he threw even that up. His stool is on the soft side.
