When we got him, our friend told us he was female & because of the nipples

Cat art24 Oct 2003 01:48 GMT2
I tried to post a link to this the other day but it never showed up.
My cats' vet has this print framed in one of the exam rooms.  This
digital version is missing one of the things I noticed in her print
which was close to the upper left.  Some sort of hose thingie.  Any

I heard this rumour that cats need 16 hours of sleep a day. I find this hard
to believe. Any confirmation?
My suspicion is that certain cats spread this rumour themselves,  in their
own interest.

Is there anywhere in the uk that stocks heated cat beds/igloos, preferably
online? I can only find American web sites that sell them. Any help

All my cats are suddenly huge23 Oct 2003 16:56 GMT1
We have three cats (7yrs, 13yrs, 18yrs) that recently started eating
more than usual.  All three have grown huge in less than three weeks
-- far more than the extra food should allow and all at the same time.
They are not just fatter -- they are taller, longer and bigger-boned.
Cat peeing on leather massage chair, please help!23 Oct 2003 16:54 GMT1
I have a male tabby, about 8 years old. Very healthy, been taking him
to the vet and he's in great health as well. Feed him iams every day
and his litterbox is cleaned every day. He has this obsession with one
spot in the apartment, my leather massage chair. I love this cat, he's

Bonjour.
Je pars vivre en Grèce (île de Syros, Cyclades) avec mes trois chats
adultes au printemps, et j'habite actuellement à la montagne en Valais
(CH). Je suis terriblement inquiète pour ce voyage : de la montagne à
Single minded hunter23 Oct 2003 02:43 GMT1
Ok. I found a flaw in my Shamrock's hunting style.  I thought he was a
fierce hunter; running on the prowl every time I said the word "bug".
Problem is, he would always look... up ^^^.  I guess to him "bug" is
moth, or teensy spider on the ceiling.  Or a fly.  Earlier I found the

I found my cat by my front door this morning, she had died in the night.  I
don't know why, and I'm trying to rule out foul play.  I know someone who
would do this sort of thing.  She was pretty stiff, so I couldn't determine
if she had broken bones, and she had a little bit of ...

What is the age at which a young cat should be Neutered?  The cat is approx.
2-3 months old now.
homemade cat toys? (x-post)21 Oct 2003 21:57 GMT14
We adopted a 1 1/2 year old cat from the shelter a few weeks ago. After
having very old, creaky, crotchety cats for many years, the activity
level of this young one has been a bit of a rude awakening! Unfortunatly
for my 3 1/2 year old son, the cat finds many of his toys to be ...

Hi cat lovers,
What to do with a cat that gets fatter and fatter. It is now 6 kilograms,
which is a lot for a cat that is not particularly long. If I feed him / it
less, it goes to the neighbours, who spoil him.
