My cat Stella scratched her neck and created a wound. Now everytime it scabs over, it itches her and she scratches it off. I'm afraid it will never heal or get infected. Other than keeping her claws trimmed (which doesn't seem to make a difference) what can I do?

one of my kittens does this weird alien sounding clicking noise and moves his mouth rapidly when he sees this feather I move with a fishing twine, then the other kitten will hear this and stare at the other kitten and do the clicking sound. its like some kind of language.
