Blocked Bladder - Another Update!14 Jul 2003 22:36 GMT2
Many thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement!
Just to let you all know that Moses decided not to come home tonight, by
pulling his catheter out during the day! So, having re-inserted it into the
misbehaving nuisance, the Vet wants to keep him in for 5 more days just to

Feeling odd about getting a second kitten.14 Jul 2003 07:05 GMT8
Just got a call from my husband at work, saying that he made a
delivery to a woman giving away kittens for free. He was all sorts of
excited, though we'd have to wait two weeks before they're ready to
leave (they're 6 weeks). Tabby, like our cat (who is 1 year), except
It's summertime in North America14 Jul 2003 02:14 GMT1
Temp 94... God it's hot today.
The cats were following me around outside while I sprayed
weeds and I thought they were going to have heat stroke.
I thought I was too.
Cats on vehicles in garage13 Jul 2003 23:29 GMT4
Is there something that I can use to keep the cats from jumping up on
top of the cars in the garage and getting footprints all over them? Barb
Blocked Bladder - Update13 Jul 2003 20:50 GMT2
As promised, an update on Moses who had a blocked bladder (see my post two
days ago). As you'll remember, the diagnosis was made on Friday night, and
within 2 hours the Vet had inserted a catheter, and taken some blood to
test.

asthma in cats13 Jul 2003 13:29 GMT2
Hello, I have a cat that has been diagnosed with asthma.  The vet currently
has him on prednisone but I'm looking into inhalers.  Does anyone use one on
their cat(s)?
Possible Ring Worm13 Jul 2003 07:46 GMT2
My cat has an area...round....probably no bigger than half the size of
the end of your little finger....that has appeared slightly below the
area where her hair is naturally thin in front of her ears.  I have
noticed that she will scratch it and that it had bled slightly from
Declawed cat that scartches13 Jul 2003 06:26 GMT4
I have a 3 year old. She was declawed when she was under a year old.
Prior to getting her declawed she never really scartched anything.
Since I have gotten her declawed she seems to scartch on everything. I
was just wondering if anyone knows why they do this? Is it just

HELP!!13 Jul 2003 03:39 GMT4
Last night my 2 year old cat was having trouble opening her left eye. I
looked in it and it looked normal so I figured she just had fur or something
in it. Just half an hour ago she woke up from a nap and her left eye is all
cloudy and her pupil is really, really small. It doesn't ...
stressed cat?12 Jul 2003 21:48 GMT4
We have a wonderful cat named Tyler (approx 4-6 yrs old)  We adopted him
from the SPCA a little over three years ago.  He is a red tabby with the
most laid back personality I've ever seen.  Very friendly, very lovable,
follows us from room to room - is a lap cat, etc. He is also an ...
Blocked Bladder12 Jul 2003 19:36 GMT8
Hello from the UK.
Our beautiful ginger short-hair Moses (aged 16 months) was diagnosed with a
blocked bladder this evening. In retrospect I remember he had not been
passing anything for the last day or so when in his tray, but we hadn't
When do cats start cleaning themselves?12 Jul 2003 18:03 GMT4
Hey, everyone :-)  I'm new to this group and have recently adopted a kitten.
I've never had a kitten before, as I've always adopted stray *cats*.  The
kitten is obviously trying to get a grip on her instincts, because she will
start to clean herself when one of her body parts gets ...
