Kittens are better than TV17 Jul 2003 19:05 GMT4
My kitten is so much fun to watch!  She just bounces all over the
place all day and night.  Right now she is playing with a toy
mouse, attacking it and tossing it around with her paws.  She has
several other favorite toys, several bell-balls, a fishing-pole
"Calico" question17 Jul 2003 14:51 GMT12
I thought a tortoise coat was three colors (black, white, & sable) and a
calico was four colors. Then someone asked me what would the fourth
color be and I realized I had to be wrong about this.
So I looked up "calico" and gleaned that calico is tortoise with one of

I have a cat who has a very young kitten. Unfortunately, the mother cat got
let out approx 9pm tonight and has not returned and the kitten is getting
quite distressed.
Does anyone know how I should go about caring for this lil one. I have a
Can cats have ADD17 Jul 2003 08:39 GMT1
Just wondering if cats can have Attention Deficit Disorder.
I have a two year old male, who is extremely hyper. He is an indoor cat as I
live in the city and am afraid to let him outdoors. I play with him alot and
try to keep him as occupied as possible but the fellow seems to be ...
A Technique For Introducing a Second Cat into Your Home16 Jul 2003 22:59 GMT1
I've written up a technique for eliminating the fireworks that can result
from introducing a second cat into your home. It's on the home page of
www.efbetter.com for the next few days.
Enjoy!
Cats in desktop background images (request)16 Jul 2003 18:44 GMT5
Since I have linux and KDE in it, I have six desktops that can all have
separate background images.  So, if you have links to collections of good
quality cat pictures, preferably as big as 1280x1024 pixels, please give me
some.  Even a link to one good picture would be nice.
The cat just needs attention16 Jul 2003 08:08 GMT5
We live in a suburb close to a forest. We just can't keep the cat inside, he
loves spending the nights hunting. During those hot summer heat waves, we
just let the cat out for the night. The problem is, after a few hours of
hunt, he comes back to the house ( usually around 1-2 am) ...
Grooming Cats16 Jul 2003 06:07 GMT4
We adopted a stray cat.  She is short-haired and mostly white.  She sheds
like crazy.  I need to find a really good brush that gets a lot of the loose
hair off her.  A bristle brush doesn't seem to do much.  I spend more time
cleaning it than grooming the cat.  Can anyone suggest a ...
Possible Ring Worm16 Jul 2003 02:55 GMT2
My cat has an area...round....probably no bigger than half the size of
the end of your little finger....that has appeared slightly below the
area where her hair is naturally thin in front of her ears.  I have
noticed that she will scratch it and that it had bled slightly from
Kitten just going into heat urinating inside16 Jul 2003 02:06 GMT1
I have three cats.

shelter 2 years ago, (Spike), and another I got two months ago at the
shelter, (Drusilla), that is about 6 months old.
This UK heatwave + Murphy (unwell kitten) update15 Jul 2003 23:45 GMT4
How's everyone and their cats doing in this heatwave we are having here in
the UK. I don't know how hot it is everywhere else but it's hot, hot, hot
here.
My poor little black Murphy is feeling it, he's stretched out as much as he
feline obesity15 Jul 2003 19:34 GMT13
A grown cat in poor condition arrived on our windowsill
years ago.  Perhaps a dozen years ago.  He was extremely
thin and hungry.  Though it was never my plan to own
a cat, I took him in and could never bring myself to take
My kitty15 Jul 2003 19:03 GMT5
Keeps bringing home 'presents' which I know is the norm........but she was
caught by the parents of the baby bird.....and was promptly pecked on the
head...now I know where these little scratches have come from?! is it worth
taking her to the vets to get her checked or just keep an ...
Single runny eye15 Jul 2003 07:18 GMT7
We got a great new kitty around Valentine's Day (sorry no pix of Freya on
the 'net). She's about four years old (est), a shorthaired grey mix (mostly
Chartreux and/or Russian Blue). Enough bragging, on to the problem - when
we got her, she had one eye running like an allergy. The ...
She's Fine but Never Again14 Jul 2003 22:39 GMT5
I was worried about my cat. They have had problems before but never anything
like the eye situation. For those of you who think you know me and my
situation....I did call the emergency vets here. They wouldn't give me any
information over the phone. They said she had to be seen. ...
